The Definition: a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements.
Respect is earned not given.
Determine respect based on your personal experience with that person and not someone else’s.
Being present in a conversation can earn someone’s respect.
Treat others the way you want to be treated to gain respect.
Treating others with kindness and politeness can obtain respect.
Younger people often respect older people due to the age difference.
Your social status can also determine the respect received, ex. people in power.
Respect can be described as a feeling of admiration.
To be respectful you must be considerate and honor the feelings, opinions and property of others.
Show gratitude.
Empathize the perspective of others.
Respect is an important virtue.

Perseverance is the ability to push through adversity. Whenever one is struggling with the fascinating but difficult concepts of Physics, our mindset is the factor that will push us through.

Some examples of Perseverance in our class.
- Completing homework when you're exhausted.
- Staying after class to ask Mr. Z to elaborate on a concept you struggled with.
- Studying extra on a concept you don't like or don't understand.
- Completing an assignment after missing a class day.
-Showing up to class on time everyday even when you're exhausted.
- Asking classmates for help when you don't understand.
- Taking extra notes during class when you're tired.
- Using note-cards to help you grasp a concept.
