This book is about a 10 year old girl named Sunny. She flies a plane all by herself to Florida to visit her Grandpa. There she meets a boy that loves comic books and then she is interested in reading comics. She makes money to buy a lot of comics. One day at her home Dale her older brother is caught drinking and smoking, Sunny gets worried that he'll get in big trouble. Dale gets sent to a place where he can get help controlling his anger. Sunny finds a box a cigars in a cereal and asks her grandpa why he has a box a cigars in here he says that he quit and those are his spare. When she saw them it made her think of her brother Dale.

this book is about a girl (raina) who has to get braces. one a mom from her girl scout scout troop bring her home when one of the girl yells "last one to the house is a rotten egg" when they were racing raina trips and knocks out  her two front teeth she has to go throw a lot of painful stuff  to get her two 
front teeth then when Christmas comes around raina is wishing  for her two front teeth. she has to get braces to bring two of her teeth to the front to look like her two front teeth. during the summer between eighth grade and high school she get her braces out and get braces for her overbite she freaks out because she think the braces look ugly at the end of freshman year she get her braces of and think her teeth look ugly she goes to a prom and learns too love herself just the way she is "smile" the photographer said :)

They meet a Iron Golem that lets them go because they had chocolate chip cookies, they also go up a staircase that has a lot of boobytraps. In the end, their pet cat cloud(witch was a giant cat now) Comes and saves the day!

Iris and her friend Daniel loved snow and the way the sun light danced on the snow in North Carolina.
