There is a lot of information given here and it is impossible to start day 1 doing it all. Discussions during PLC's, grade level meeting, and professional development days can help start conversations towards implementing many of these ideas. First start by looking at what you are already doing, and if you could tweek it just a bit to improve. Next, pick one thing and one areas you would like to start using and apply. Once you have found success, add more. Doing it as a team allows for you to have partners to share frustrations and success, as well as learn from other's strengths

Even though these strategies have been proven effective, teachers still need to make their own professional judgments when dealing with students. Marzano admits that not every strategy works for every child. Overusing one is also not effective, so the challenge is knowing your students, and blending the stragies together for success.
