Tuesday after Morrie is about a college professor named Morrie who has a strong connection with his fellow classmate Mitch. Mitch happened to come in contact with Morrie during a dicussion class about friendships, love, loss, etc. Ever since that day their connection got stronger. But little did Mitch know that Morrie came in contact with ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's disease). Because of this news, Mitch visits Morrie the first of many Tuesdays. A couple days after the fourteenth Tuesday, Morrie passed away.

Goal

I think the goal of this book was to inform the audience to have your eyes open when it comes to people and things. I think this was a goal of this book, because you see at the end Mitch gives his conclusion and his conclusion was that he only had one regret. That being him not reaching out to Morrie sooner to have more Tuesdays together. I also think this is a goal because in life, you might find someone you come in contact with, but never pay attention when you have to start your own life. It was a way of saying to check up on each other even if you can or can't see them on a day to day bases.

I believe one thing that surprised me was the relationship between Mitch and Morrie. The relationship between Mitch and Morrie was like any kind of friendship you'll have when it comes to first knowing someone. Someone who you can talk to about anything and have the guts to proceed having a close relationship to. I feel like because Mitch gave a sense of caring, it gave Morrie a little more hope to keep pushing and to keep moving forward no matter how many days he had left. Nowadays you don't see that so that was a big surprise in my eyes.

I would say Mitch attitude towards the letters being sent and the phone calls changed my mind. These two things changed my mind about Mitch because I feel like he should have suspected something was going on with Morrie. I feel like he should have cared a little more than what he did in the book when it came to Morrie. Only because if you have a ride or die type of friend, you should at least hear them out or at least see what's up with that person even if you haven't talked to them in years.

While reading this book, I feel like my perception of the world has changed. I feel this way because I feel like students should have a good connection with a teacher but only in a reasonable way. What I mean by that, I mean by having a good relationship with a teacher to know just the basics of their lives and not everything. But nowadays, coming across a child having any relationship with a teacher is a negative thing because you would never know what that relationship is intended to be.

I personally recommend this book to college students because I feel like college students have a better way of understanding life. In high school, you don't really find yourself until you become an adult and I feel like college students have a better way in that category. Growing up, we didn't start caring when we were first born. There's stages in between us learning ourselves and others, so I feel like college students have the ability to know what's irrelevant and what is relevant.
