The book presented the figure of a gentleman who, driven mad by reading chivalric books, decided to become a knight-errant and, together with his squire Sancho Panza, traveled across Spain, where he experienced many absurd adventures. In sixteen fifteen, Cervantes released the second part, in which Don Quixote was recognized as a famous fictional character. With this work, Cervantes achieved the first modern novel and created a profound and humorous critique of chivalric literature.</p>]]></description>
