         <description><![CDATA[<div>the pre modifier "acceptable" presents the attitude that overt prestige is the preferred dialect in society linking to the SE norm selection. the inference of intelligence implies that covert dialects lack the same level of education. thus targeting the prejudice of northern dialects in comparison to southern dialects. this is clarified by the triadic structure "intelligent, authoritative, responsible" all of which are stereotypical connotations of the SE society given the implications of wealth and power (Omar and Haughen). thus expressing how the overt dialects are preferred and therefore seen as more "acceptable" due to the stereotypes of northerners versus southerners lifestyles. </div>]]></description>
