After listening, SS will use a math template to draw a picture that represents the problem and then use the ten frame to solve it. They will record their answer on a recording sheet by writing the equation and matching it to the audio number. This activity reinforces comprehension, visualization, counting, and ten frame fluency.

Skill:

Listening comprehension

Counting with ten frames

Visual problem-solving

Representing math through drawing

Differentiation

Emerging: only addition word problems

Advanced: addition and substraction

Materials:

Audio recordings

Math template (drawing space + ten frame)

Recording sheet (with numbers 1–10 and answer space)

Pencil or marker

Headphones (optional for focus)
