Cabin Crew Uniform and Grooming Standards are very important since they are first images of the airlines, they are not simply just about images, they also represent safety, professionalism and also the reputation of the airline. Every detail from the Uniform to the Crew's Hairstyles contributes to how the passengers think abut the crew and even the airline and how it may effect the crew performing their duties since having your hair down may cause your hair to go in the food which is for the customers or it can get in your way when doing your duties.

Cabin crew are the public faces of the airlines and they appearances can affect how people see the airlines values, standards and their level of professionalism since when passengers board the airlines, cabin crew are the first faces for the passenger to see so their appearances / presentation must be perfect due to that sets the tone for the passengers entire flight experience.

Cabin Crew Uniform and Grooming Standards have changed over the years but it all started in the late 1920s and early 1930s, when airlines actually started hiring their cabin crew and the uniform was actually very different to nowadays, since the clothing was heavy and durable and was shown more as a military-style flare. Years ago, Crew wore large caps that actually covered their ears and they wore capes and skirts that had to fall below the knee. The idea of this was to actually show a sense of professionalism and duty in these cabin crew. However you can understand the apes on the uniform was not the most practical piece of attire to being wearing.

Cabin Crew and Grooming Standards have evolved significantly from being strict and formal to modern and very inclusive while professionalism and neat presentation remain very essential but todays airlines also value things like comfort, equality and also cultural respect.
