Corporate sponsorships impose the motives of capitalism on school sports teams. Capitalism is a social makeup that connects economics to private owners, creating funding bias and an increased focus on money. If schools are connected to corporations, the focus becomes more about funding and bureaucracy than student success. Student sports teams should find funding through fundraising efforts, nonprofit organizations, and school allotments and break ties with corporations.

School sports teams that are sponsored by corporations receive funding from those corporations. It is necessary for this funding to continue because students will not be able to play sports if it does not. Schools do not care about sports teams so they need corporations to care about them. If corporations need their ads posted around school facilities, that is okay because they are contributing to the success of sports teams.

Corporations are making a mockery out of school sports. What happened to letting sports teams fend for themselves after they run out of all of their school's funding? Students need to learn personal responsibility. They need to find their own funding for their sports team and stop letting corporations control their resources and their environment. Who needs those ads? All they do is distract from who we should be focusing on: the kids.

Corporate sponsorship has supported school sports activity for many years, and thus schools became dependent on the monetary funding. It is a necessity to have funding from corporations continue because the schools themselves are not able to pay for the continuation of sports, and thus could result in shutting down of sports and after school activities. The advertisements on school grounds aren't as distracting and effective as may seem, as society today has already been integrated and frankly used to ignoring unnecessary information in their subconscious. Thus, there is no harm in sponsorship from corporations as they help sustain and maintain the condition and existence of said sports teams.
