Personally, I try to be as honest as possible with everyone but to my own discretion. I don't need everyone involved in my personal business and/or life. However, people have different perspectives when it comes to their image/reputation and the lengths they'll go to in order to maintain it. I've been taught that telling the truth is always the best option, though.
