Ballymun will be better when

 

We have an Astro-turf for young lads instead of young lads

fighting for turf,

 

We have a Ballymun Boutique with louis Vuitton, and Gucci,

and our own shopping centre, so we don’t have to go to town,

 

When people keep the streets clean, and pay for their bins and

not light them on fire, you see them burning with the robbed

cars.

 

When people stop looking down on us and you don’t need

to lie on your CV to get a job,

 

If drugs didn’t exist, and we had more parks, and people

respected each other all the time, and we came together as one!

 

Ballymun is better now because

 

Macaris chicken tenders are the best in the world,

 

We have great neighbours and a close community that looks

out for each other, and we have a great sense of humour,

 

Laurence’s late shop and the mad bargains yuh get there,

  

Cause now we’re known for not just the bad, we have legends

like Father Peter McVerry, and Philly McMahon,

 

The Reco and the Axis  and the area around it, all of Ballymun

can be seen there, the good, the bad, the best, the mad, the sad,

the never giving in, Ballymun I love yuh cause yer bleeding Lethal!
