What was the purpose of the assessment?

The purpose of this assessment was to advertise a festival, named "Music Valley Festival". This was done by including the artists, pricing, dates and location of the event. This poster created awareness for the event so that more people would come. The target audience was targeted at young adults and teens who like beachy music. This was done by using the right colours, elements, and fonts to grab the viewers attention.

Researching, brainstorming, and creating

At first, I investigated preexisting festival posters and tags. I reverse searched the fonts I liked, onto adobe fonts. After this, I brainstormed different poster ideas, and decided on the one I chose as it fit the Indie and Beachy aesthetic that I was going towards, to attract young adults and teens.

to design the poster, I used Illustrator and photo shop. Illustrator was used to create the poster as it includes all the necessary tools to design it. Photo shop was used to create the purple rings on the poster. After this was made, it was forwarded into Illustrator to finish the final product.
