The producer i have chosen to analyse is Rick Rubin, Rubin believes that music should be made for the artists satisfaction not for commercial success showing a unique approach that focuses on the artist and not the audience, Rubin also creates a supportive environment without any commercial pressure and allows the artist/artists to embrace their creativity and explore their inner selves.

Rubin believes that "being an artist is not about your specific output but about your relationship to the world" also Rubin's creative philosophy is his "unwavering commitment to authenticity".

One of the techniques that Rubin uses is amplification through abridgement instead of traditionally multiplying tracks, Rubin "embraces quietude and stillness to allow focus on tonality, lyrics and musicality in their purest forms" this shows the effectiveness of having a producer like Rick Rubin is to making an record/album, a quote from Rubin is "Good habits create good art. The way we do anything is the way we do everything. Treat each choice you make, each action you take, each word you speak with skilful care".

The definition of a music producer is a creative and technical professional who oversees and guides recording projects which Rick Rubin excels at, This is further proved by the many well known and successful bands Rubin has worked with over the years, Some include Metallica, Slayer, Rage against the machine, Black sabbath and others.

A DAW, or Digital Audio Workstation, is a software application used to record, edit, produce, and mix audio and MIDI. Think of it as a virtual recording studio, a central hub where you can compose and manipulate music by layering recorded tracks, virtual instruments, and effects to create a final song. DAWs are used by everyone from home hobbyists to professional music producers.

A professional in music is someone who earns their primary income from their musical work, which includes performing, composing, producing, and teaching. This professional status is defined by making a living from music, a commitment to the craft that includes consistent practice and professional behaviour, and the ability to handle the business aspects of the industry. It is less about a specific skill level and more about dedicating oneself to the work and treating it as a career.

In music, "composition" has three main meanings: an original piece of music, the process of creating that music, and the structure or arrangement of its parts. A composer is a person who creates a musical composition, which can be a vocal or instrumental work, ranging from a simple jingle to a complex symphony. The term also refers to how the various elements of music, such as melody, harmony, and rhythm, are put together to form the finished product.
