  • Record yourself teaching the first 20 minutes of class (coach can come set up Swivl cam, if needed). 
  • After the coach shares the video with you, complete the video reflection.
  • Meet with coach to design a student-focused performance goal AND a teacher-focused learning goal. Identify strategies to support goals.
  • Implement strategies for 1 month, collecting any relevant data. Coach will briefly stop by your classroom weekly to provide support.
  • At end of cycle, again record the first 20-minutes of class using the Swivl.
  • Meet with coach to debrief and celebrate!

    • HOW IS THIS CYCLE DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHERS?
    - All other cycles have a coach in their classroom for 1 hour/week.
    - None of the other cycles include a video component.

    • HOW IS THIS CYCLE DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHERS?
    - This cycle is very similar to the "General Practice Cycle" but it is focused on a specific curriculum.

    - This cycle is very similar to the "Curriculum-Focused Cycle" but it can be focused on any aspect of teaching instead of only curriculum.

    4. Schedule a weekly 1-hour period for your coach to provide in-class support (4-5 weeks). Implement strategy and collect any relevant data.
    5. Meet with coach to debrief and celebrate!

    HOW IS THIS CYCLE DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHERS?
    - None of the other cycles attend the New Teacher Orientation.
    - This cycle is very similar to the "General Practice Cycle" but it provides additional support to help ease the transition to KES.
