- It was the first day I started my internship in Majlis Daerah Selama

- On the first day, Puan Rohaya the one who incharge in under Jabatan Khidmat Pengurusan and also incharge handling all internship students bring me and the other two student (also from UMK but different Faculty) to see Secretary of MDS which is Encik Shah Nizam bin Abdul Aziz. Occasionally Puan Rohaya already remind us to bring some notes book to write up on what S/u going to brief about.

- We were all given the job description on what we are supposed to do, which department we are going to be divided and who is our industrial supervisor.

- The S/u assign me to be under Jabatan Khidmat Pengurusan under supervison of Puan Norzahani Binti Zaini, The Executive Officer of MDS.

- The S/U also give us a simple task which we need to make a write up report on the history of our village and how the village took its name. It is was my first task and it is quite challenging as the S/u told us to find any people who can give us as much as information about our village. As I have learned many way to interview people in UMK, so I can easily relate it with this task such the type of question that we need to ask, the way we want to approach informant and what tools that we need to used in order to complete the interview session.

- It is quite rare because my industrial supervisor was on a training in Ipoh and will be back tomorrow morning so I just need to stay in my seat and do S/u task using the PC of staff as I do not bring my laptop to the office.

- Tools used : Pencil, pen, note book, computer/ laptop

- As yesterday my industrial supervisor was not in the office, today early in the morning I meet my supervisor and ask her about any work that I can do.

- Since Jabatan Perbehandaharaan was lacked of staff  today, I help Encik Fathil in order to make a registration on the assets used by MDS.

- I learned on how to open a sharing files of MDS by using their pc and I need to recheck the files no according to the files number.

- Then, I need to re-arrange some files that are hold by Jabatan Perbendaharaan into its sub-files. There are a few assets that are not divide into its sector and it is cause trouble for the department to detect the assets used, so I help Encik Fadhil to re-divide all files into its own placed.

- For the next day, Encik Fathil told me to bring my own laptop and just comes straight to his office to help him in re-arrange all files that have been assemble in wrong place.

- Tools used : Pencil, calculator, computer (PC), fastener and empty files.

Day 3 ( Wednesdat, 20^th February 2019)

- Today I re-continue finishing yesterday previous work 

- Today I re-continue finishing yesterday previous work  which I learn how to make a new registration on every assets used by MDS in the sector of  “Rumah Rehat”

- I also learn on how to key in the data of assets used in the system and renew it to registration  number as needed.

- Actually it is quite hard since I need to do all this work alone. Encik Fathil told me himself that there are lack in staff so that he need at least two or three practical students to be put under his supervision so that the work will run smoothly. But, I still do the work as fast as I can because all the data will be check by audit soon.

- Tools used : Pen, laptop, calculator and pendrive.

- Today, I come back to my place which is under Jabatan Khidmat Pengurusan and I was given a task which I need to make a report on the background of Selama and makes a review on all potential places in Selama that can be new tourist attraction. 

-Encik Rofizlan which is the one who incharged under “Unit Pelancongan MDS” told me that there are still a few potential place in Selama that people do not know yet so he need tourism student like me to give new and new ideas on how to make people aware about the existence of this place.

- On evening, there are “Majlis Persaraan Encik Badrul Hisyam, CC of  Majlis Daerah Selama.

- I help Puan Rohaya in handling the events because I have handled a few events in UMK so I can easily used all thing that I have learned in UMK to be practiced here.

- Early in the morning I go to the Bagan Baharu( a village in Selama) because all staff are involved in “gotong-royong” and help in order to clean a few point in Bagan Baharu such school, SK Bagan Baharu, Dewan Bagan Baharu, Masjid Bagan Baharu and a few place surrounding the selected points. Actually, in a month, MDS will contribute in ensure the cleanliness of the area in Selama 

- I need to make a few repost about the potential places in Selama that can be new tourist attraction and choose the best post to make a full report about that place.

-Tools used : Sports attire, laptop and pen

-Today I also get to know more staff in Majlis Daerah Selama because I need to confirmed with them either they had finished “Myportfolio” or not yet. “Myportfolio” is the portfolio about full details about a permanent staff in MDS. It is including the full name, the date when their first work in MDS, their job description, their job details, all forms that their department used and others. It is an important files that every staff should perform. 

-As MDS has three building, I need to go to all building in MDS to ask all staff about “Myportfolio”. Only staff in Selama Inn( Guest house by MDS) that I do not need to collect their “Myportfolio” as they are a bit far from MDS office.

-Today I continue my task to start collecting “Myportfolio” from all staff. Only a few staff that have submitted “Myportfolio” and the rest yet to be done. The due date is at the early of March so I guess they still have time.

- The EO which is my Supervisor teach me on how to check which part in “Myportfolio” is important and if the staff are not complete the part, I need to tell he or she which one that they need to complete. I continue in recheck all “Myportfolio” that I have collected.

- There is lack of staff in the guest house (Selama Inn) so my supervisor told me to go and do in-front office job.

- It is not that difficult as I used to work in hotel so I know how to do check in and housekeeping. I also know on how to updating the online system but as there are not many customer today, I just need to stay in-front office with one of MDS staff. Selama Inn also have a few package for people who wants to have a vacation in the area of Selama.

-Tools used : Pen, computer, keyroom, the list name of guest that are going to check in and out.

- Today I still incharge in-front office of Selama Inn. As there are only a few customer today, the staff brought me to check around Selama Inn. Selama Inn have a single room for those who want to stay 2 person in one room, chalet for a big family, and a VIP chalet for those who want a standardize room and environment. 

-I also do some housekeeping in Selama Inn.

-Tools used : Pen, computer, keyroom

-Tools used for housekeeping : bed sheet, blanket, pillow case, king’s size bed sheet, single size bed sheet, hand towel , face towel and bath towel.

-I come back to do work in office. I continue recheck either “Myportfolio” from staff are complete or not with the EO and is there any mistakes that should be remind.

-I also learn new things today which I learn from Tuan Haji Zamza’im, the HR  on how to used the HRMIS system. HRMIS system is a system used to check all progress of works by staff. But Tuan Haji Zamza’im only teach me on how to log in to HRMIS system and to recheck the leaves taken by staff. The reason why I learn to use this HRMIS system is because Tuan Haji Zaim are going to go for Umrah in upcoming two weeks so I need to always re-update the system so that once Tuan Haji Zaim are not in the office, staff can still check their leaves balance and so on.

-Update with EO which staff that are still not finished and not sent their “Myportfolio”.

-I learned on how to make a report about the names of staff that are still not print up their “Myportfolio” according to their own issue and reason. Some staff cannot sent the “Myportfolio” because they need to brought it to a training or a seminar.

-Tools used : Pen, Laptop, List of MDS staff.

- I arranged all files (Myportfolio files) that have been submitted according its department.

-Learn how to calculate the expired leave that can be taken by staff. Expired leave is a leave that are not being used or being taken by staff for more than three years. If a staff are not using the leave for two years, the leave will be expired for the third year.

- There are a lot of mistakes and error in the old data system so I need to recheck all their “leave” from the first day they started work in MDS.

-Tools used : Pen, Laptop, List of MDS staff.

- I have learned on how to use the fax machine. As my desk are the one who are near to the fax machine, every time there is a fax comes in,  I need to recorded by writing up all the fax in into Fax-in books. All the documents needs to be write based on file’s date and time, title of the fax, to and by who the fax to, and I need to send it immediately to the department that the fax are required. 

- There are the one who incharge in fax machine which is Encik Alfi but if the fax are urgent the fax can be given to the department required on the fax as long as the information of the fax are already be write up on fax-in book.

-Learn on how to use HRMIS system to check about annual leave of staff.

- Tools used : Laptop, pen, fax machine, leave form.

- Today I still learn on how to use the HRMIS system. Actually the roles in these HRMIS system was implemented by the Public Service Human Resource Management Information System in all public agencies, encompasses a few activities.

-By using HRMIS, the HR can just re-check about the annual leave that been taken by staff easily by just click on their ID and everything is there.

-Tools used : Pen, list of staff MDS

- Still learn how to calculate the expired leave of staff by using the formula and table that have been provided by HR and I just need to follow up and turn in all the data in HRMIS system.

- There are some staff who are not take their leave after three years ad the leave will be terminated according to a few regulation.

-In the afternoon, I need to go to Selama Inn to be in-front office as the other staff are go for meeting.

- Tools used : Computer (PC), Pen, List of staff MDS 

-Re-continue in doing the task in managing and calculating the annual leave takes by staff.

-The problem comes only for a few staff who worked for more than 20 years and they do not take their leave for years.

- One thing that I have learned today is there are some staff that gain extra leave  days than other despite on the exchange in grade or certification issue.

-Since there are some staff that are not in the list of MDS staff that given by HR to me, I need to postponed in calculating expired leave for a while.

-There are new task from EO which I need to paste  the memo on “New Plan on The Development of Ecotourism Area in Lata Tebing Tinggi, Selama, Perak. Lata Tebing Tinggi have its own potential to be develop as ecotourism area and there are a few plans to make Lata Tebing Tinggi into one of ecotourism area as the place was not familiar by the outsider.

-According to Malay Mail : Perak to launch campaign to get repeat visitor. There are about 101 experiences in Perak campaign including the place in Larut Matang dan Selama.

-As there are still many task in calculating the expired leave by staff, I was given task by EO which to assist and manage the event that are going to be held this Friday.

-As I already handled a few events in university, the experienced guide me in handling any event in MDS before the concept are still same even though the environment is different.

- Tools used : Pen, Documents used for event, Laptop, Stapler and all event equipment.

- Today I jump into a small problem which my laptop refused to connect with WIFI MDS. The HRMIS system can only be run by using WIFI MDS. As I need to log into HRMIS system to recheck about the leave issue of staff, the work is still undone and cannot be done.

- I just continue a few simple task by Encik Rofizlan which he want me to develop idea into turn Selama Inn as one of the known guest house in Selama. I need to make a report based on the idea and present it on the last day I will be intern in MDS.

-Tools used : Laptop, pen, book of Selama, pamphlet of Selama.

-It was a blessful day as the events “Majlis Anugerah Cemerlang” of all staff have completely success and merrier.

- In the event, there was a talk by YDP of MDS which Tuan Amzari that Selama has become a “Bandar Mampan” recognition in negeri Perak.

- Besides, Selama also have gain 5 star in Perak as one of the town that have a very low number of criminal and other issues.

- Tools used : Prizes for Staff who gain Best Performance Staff, Desk Sheets, Balloon, Stapler Gun.

- Today I was incharge in-front office of Selama in. The description of work that need to be done is

- I have learned new things about the activities that had been done by MDS escpecially in tourism programme. MDS always brought its staff to take a look on a beautiful place in Selama that can be tourist attraction and keep the place clean.

-Some of the place in MDS that are need to be develop more is Kota Raja Bersiung and Sungai Di atas Sungai that people still not aware of these places. MDS is still trying to make a new package so that people can visit these unique places.

-As there are not too much work to do since all staff are in the meeting, the S/U told me to make some further reading on mid-term review of the eleventh Malaysia plan. Then, I need to read on what MDS have done in tourism sector escpecially in agrotourism and ecotourism.

-Today I also learned new things which I incharge in customer service by using phone call. Actually, there should be at least one staff to sit at the front desk in order to answer any call by customer and connect it to the department that they needs. As the staff are go for meeting, so I am incharge in sit at the phone desk for a while.

-Since Encik Zaim the HR have come back from “umrah”, I have asked him so many works related to the leave issues that he ask me to finished while he was go for umrah.

-Make a report based on the staff that have extra leave as they are not use it for the past three years.

-Incharge in the customer service on phone call and fax a form on attendance of staff as feedback for a few company that need feedback as soon as possible.

-Today the S/u Encik Shah Nizam bring me to visit a few entrepreneur in area Selama that doing well on their business and the S/u told me to interview them on the key of success, their SWOT, their strategic plan and anything that can be relate to their business as I am usually do in university as I am major in entrepreneurship.

-The S/u told me that some of them gain loan from a few agency to expand their business as the agency see their business are running smoothly.

-I practically used what I have learned in university when the interview session was running. The entrepreneur that we interview is Encik Badrul Hisham who plant the mushroom, sell it in raw and sell fried mushroom. He told me that we as entrepreneur need to know to use as much as resources as we can.

- Interview the entrepreneur of Pasar Penjanaan. This entrepreneur is the only Malay entrepreneur in Pekan Rantau Panjang. They are many Chinese who stay in these area so that Malay hard to find groceries and so on so this entrepreneur, Encik Khairul Anuar come out with the idea to open a shop that sell everythings that “halal” and easy to be find with affordable price.

-As I am the only one of internship students who have a minor in tourism, so I have to follow any activities held by tourism units of MDS.

-Today I have been following the tourism unit of MDS to go to one of the top lata in Selama which is Lata Rambung. Lata Rambung located in Sg Siputeh Selama Perak. It was one of the best lata in Selama since the place is so clean and the water is super fresh.

- I am help the MDS staff to becomes facilitator with SUK participant. SUK is the government units in Perak. There are about 30 participants that we needs to handle.

- We go for hiking and jungle trakking surrounding Lata Rambung from 9:30 am until 12:00 noon.

-Tools used : hiking and trekking equipment.

-Today I was helping Puan Rohaya in rechecking and organizing all forms for “Mesyuarat penuh” that gonna be held in the third floor meeting room Majlis Daerah Selama.

-Learned on how to organized and manage all forms according to its numeric and date needs. Then, all the documents and forms need to be recheck by S/U before it will be finalized on the meeting day.

-The meeting was involved all department in MDS, MDS membership (Ahli Majlis) and a few governments unit in Selama such Ketua Polis Selama.

-Rearrange the meeting room by setting all staff seat according their status in MDS department.

-Preparing the MC speech.

-Tools used : Laptop, A4 paper, Colour A4 paper, fastener, paper punch, stapler, stapler gun, MC speech, Pen, Note book, List of MDS Staff.

-Re-continue checking on the Mesyuarat Penuh tentatives if there any mistakes in the programme or any changing that needs to be corrected.

-Re-confirmed with the MC about all names that should be in the “taklimat pagi” before the meeting was implement.

- The EO ask to help her in completed the “Myportfolio” of some staff that does not seem to finished their “Myportfolio” in required time.

- I just need to call them and get their fully dertais to fininsh their “Myportfolio”.

-As I continue I finishing “Myportfolio” of a few staff as given by Eo, I also need to make a few report about which staff who have submitted and not yet submitted their “Myportfolio”.

-The one that becomes my challenge is there are some staff who still not doing anything on their “Myportfolio” so it will takes times to finished it and I need to give the report to EO as soon as possible.

-Rearrange all forms and documents in fax files as the OSC Puan Norhafizah told me that she need to recheck on the feedback of fax either the fax that sent by MDS have fully received by the third companies or nt.

-Continue in wite up a report on the entrepreneur that I have interview for last two weeks.

-The S/u told me to find another one entrepreneur that I can interview especially entrepreneur that involved in agroculture because MDS wants to promote Selama more on agro-tourism and ecotorism. 

-I have found one of the success entrepreneur in Selama that make am aquaculture on “Udang Galah Air Gunung’ but I still have no time to go to interview him as the lack of time.

- As the staff are not too busy today, Puan Norhashimah the staff in the careline of MDS tech me a simple way on how to greet guests and customers.

 -Read the manual and script on how to greet customer directly or on telephone

-Learn how to use proper word to answers customer enquiries

-Learn how to use personalize techniques for customers such as always mention the customer

by their names.

-Today I need to be in the Selama Inn again as I am the one who always incharge in Selama Inn.

- I have learn about the registration process so I just need to do the registration as usual as I did.

- It was the same as yesterday where I just need to be at the front office in Selama Inn.

-There are still a few things that I need to alert which while I was seat at the back (the room behind counter), I always need to look at the CCTV because there are a few cases where there is outsider comes sneak in to park their car surrounding Selama Inn. There is no criminal issue in Selama Inn but still we as a worker needs to be cautious to avoid any bad things that may occurred.

-Learn on how to greet customer as today there is a “Pembukaan Sebut Harga” was held in Bunga Matahari Meeting Room which the second floor meeting room. 

-I also get to know some “Ahli Majlis” that comes for the “Pembukaan Sebut Harga”.

- Pembukaan Sebut Harga is like people or company who wants to buy a tender and they need to bid for their own price. There highest price that some company put will get the tender. It is quite complicated and personal as only a few people can involve with this “Pembukaan Sebut Harga” and relatives of the company who involve in this bid cannot participate in the meeting room at the time to avoid bias and fraud.

-Tools used : knife to open the envelope of “Sebut Harga”, glue, stapler, black ink pen, ruler and calculator.

-It was a hectic day for me as I need to help Puan Rohaya in finishing all the document for “Mesyuarat Bulanan”.

- I need to re-check the spelling of all documents need in the monthly meeting and I need to print out all documents and form and for each of the form I need to make 38 copies. The forms and documents have about 100 pages and above so I need to learn on how to do work faster and faster.

- I also need to preparing some speech for MC for this monthly meeting.

- Today I gain the opportunities to go to the IKS in Selama to see as much as IKS product that people in Selama sell and how the attraction of tourist.

- I learned the way on  how to greet people who comes to this IKS and I learn from the entrepreneur in IKS on how to promoting their product.

-The product that can be expand more is such as mee sanggul, seni ukiran kayu, seni sarung keris, perkasam daging, kuah kacang segera and handicraft made from unused items.

-The challenging that I can here is the location is not too strategic for people or outsider to know about this place.

-Today I am following a few staff to look at the mural surroundings Selama and find the suitable place to paint more and more mural so that people can see the beautiful I Selama.

- The new plan of MDS is to paint more on beautiful place in Selama at the stall or shop wall so that people will know what is the best place in Selama that they can go when they are in Selama. 

-Due to the lack of money and so on, the mural project need t be postponed for a while.

-Today I am helping other internship student in making a photocopy of a few packages that offered by MDS to people.

-All these packages are going to be give to people who are wants to have a package in the area of Selama.

- There are also a few packages include accommodation in Selama Inn that I need to post in MDS facebook page. 

- Today I continue my task in calculating the expired leave of staff and I realize that there are some staff who have no name in the list given by HR but they are still worked in MDS.

-The HR told me to complete all their expired leave and save it in one file so that he can easily recheck either it is correct or not.

-Today there are many staff that want to check their leave balance but the HR was not around so they ask me to check their leave balance because I am the one who can recheck on HRMIS and the HR also give me permission to recheck all staff leave if they want.

-Some staff cannot be opened their named in HRMIS system. I ask the HR the reason why but the HR told me it is because of the WIFI system not the HRMIS system. 

-This week I only need to be in-fromt office at Selama Inn and do some housekeeping in Selama Inn.

-It not that hard to be in-front office because I can improve communication skill when i talk to customers.

-There are a few challenging that I need to faces today which today I need to be in-front office alone and I need to handle everything alone as the staff are take a few days leave.

-There is a staff who ask for his deposit to stay at the VIP chalet back but there is no black and white form that he bring. Then he told me that he need to be in hurry. There was no one told me that I need to pay for any deposit to customer today. So, I call Encik Amirul the one who incharge in Rumah Rehat Selama to comes and meet the people. Encik Amirul comes and bring them to the office to settle the issue.

-As I am doing calculate the expired leave of staff, the HR ask me to have a copy of calculation for staff who named Munachi but I had no information about the staff in the list given by HR to me. 

-There is also no her information on HRMIS system. So I do not know how to do it. Luckily the HR have some save data from the previous internship student as he forget to give it to me.

-I quickly re-write the staff information on the HRMIS so that if the one go missing, the HRMIS system have the copy information.

-I am still doing the current routine in HR management department which I am calculating “expired leave” and help Puan Rohaya in handling a few documents for meeting.

-The issue “Myportfolio” is still not finished yet when I recheck there are still a few staff who not finished yet their “Myportfolio”. I already told the EO that I have ask for their “Myportfolio” a few times but they are too busy with their work.

-As I am doing this “Myportfolio” task, I can enhance my skills which I know what is the job description of all department staff.

-Today I am busy helping Puan Rohaya in prepare a few documents for monthly meeting. Puan Rohaya told me that every month there will be a meeting that involving all staff in all department and these documents are usually prepared by the department so that when the S/U ask them about anything required to their department, all documents are already been prepared.

-Usually on a meeting, YDP MDS or the S/u will recheck on the progress of Selama that have been done by all department. Once there are things that they both are not satisfies about, then they will discussing on the issue.

-Today I need to finish my task in finding a few successful entrepreneur in Selama that I can write a report about.

-The S/u told me that a few successful entrepreneur in Selama such D’Lariss and one of the entrepreneur in Sungai Siputeh village.

- I went to D’Lariss during my rest time to interview the owner but unfortunately the owner was not around so I will come the other day.

-Learn new thing while I was doing the calculation of expired leave.

-For those staff who have a higher grade, their annual leave will be raise for 3 to five days. So, there are a few staff who has change their grade so I need to make a correction on their leave calculation and so on.

-It was holiday but I need to look after for tourism booth in “Karnival Pendidikan dan Kerjaya by Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat.

-The event was held in Dewan Sungai Bayor. It was near my house so I come early in the morning with all staff of MDS to set up the booth and so on.

-I learn on how to promote the package that offered by MDS to those who comes to our booth.

-I also learn on how to communicate with people well in real situation.

-Today the S/u ask me to prepare a feedback customer form on the new LED lamp that re going to be used surrounding the MDS and the street surrounding Selama.

-Then, I need to make 50 copy of the feedback form and give it to all “Ahli Majlis” that comes for meeting. I need to encourage them about the advantage of LED light than a neon light.

-I also follow a few staff to go for a site visit with a few “Ahli Majlis” and I need to give the feedback form to any “Ahli Majlis” that comes to the site visit.

-It was a very hectic day where the MDS will meet the customer face to face. Today is the day where people who have book the “tapak baazar” for upcoming Ramadhan comes to take vote which base that they will get.

-There are many people who comes and there was a tent for them to wait while their names takes turn.

-I was helping the other staff to sit in the counter and i need to talk to people who comes either they have any plan, recommendation or future innovation plan for Selama.

-After meet too many people today, I realise that everybody have different way and behaviour. The way they talk to us, the way the give respond will described themselves and what kind of person they are.

Labour Day

-Today I am helping Puan Rohaya to set up all documents and form for the meeting tomorrow.

-Learn new things which I will becomes MC for tomorrow meeting. It is quite new for me as I need to prepare the speech and re-confirmed with the S/u about the speech that I am going to read tomorrow. 

- Today I becoe MC for the monthly meeting. It is quite new to me because I had never seen all staff gathered in one meeting room.

-I learn on how to improve my communication and speech skills.

-The challenging while I am becoming MC is when I need to re-confirmed with Puan Rohaya about the one who is going to give a common speech but Puan Rohaya still cannot contact the S/U about the matter.

-Then, I need to spontaneous change the speech as the S/U already announce the name of “Pekerja Cemerlang Bulanan” by himselves.

-The time of the meeting was ended until evening as on the evening there will be a sot with GIRO Bank and Insurance.

-Today, I am finishing all my report on the tourism industry that was implement by MDS especially in eco-tourism and agro-tourism.

-I am assist Tuan Haji Zaim, the OSC department in faxing the “Permohonan Maklumat Berkenaan Pemasangan Lampu LED Di Kawasan Majlis Daerah Selama” to some agency and units such Jabatan Bomba, Jabatan Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia, Tenaga Malaysia Berhad and other agency.

-Then, I am helping Cik Nomi, from engineering department to make a few photocopy on “sebutharga” documents and binding all the documents into book.

-Today I was transfer into new department which is “Tourism Unit of MDS”

-Tourism Units was established to find out more about the potential place that can be one of the tourism attraction of Selama. The mission of this Tourism Units is to identified the strategic place in selama and Plan New Tourism Development to make people aware about the existence of Selama Perak.

-My new supervisor for this department is Puan Nurul Azwa Binti Abdul Rahman. She will be my next supervisor for this and next month.

-On a first day I get to know all staff in this unit. Actually this Tourism Unit was in the second building of MDS and I this building there is a few department such Unit Undang-undang, Unit Penilaian dan Pengurusan Harta dan OSC.

-In tourism un it, I need to assign tourism boom of Selama which I need to prepare a speech by YDP and S/u of MDS to be put into the book.

-I need to make a further reading on Selama andscape so that I can put a better speech by YDP and S/u in the Book of Selama.

-I also learn new thngs which I need to used some new application to edit the speech and the picture that I need to put in the Selama Tourism Book.

-As I continue help in finishing the Selama Tourim Book, I also can improve my communication skills as my desk is at the front office so when people comes to meet any staff, they will come to see me first and if they are only need to fill a form such “Permohonan Tapak Baazar Aidilfittri” form, they just need to come and see me and I will guide them to fill the form.

-The only one thing that quite challenging is when the old folk comes and they forget to bring their IC or their important documents, I need to tell them to come again later. I feel sorry towards them.

-As it was one week before I need to finish the YDP and S/U speech in the Selama Tourism Book, I go to meet the S/u and ask either the speech that I had finish need to be edit or not. 

-There is some correction that I need to do which I need to add the speech more on ecotourism in Selama, Strategic Plan of Tourism Unit and seven main Plan (RP) that are going to be implement in Selama.

-Luckily I still have time in finish all the speech by this week.

-Today I am helping other internship student in editing the Selama Tourism Book such edit the margin, the size of the picture, the brightness and lighting of the picture and so on.

-I can improve my skill in using different app and Microsoft by editing all this picture. I learned on how to edit the picture by using PS adopt and Canva Application. 

 

-As I am still learning on how to use Canva Apps and so on, Puan Norhafizah from the OSC department told me to make a further reading about tourism unit plan that have been done and will be implement soon in the Sharing Files of MDS.

-I make a few copies of the files and read it while I gain more knowledge about the tourism plan in Selama in further details.

-Today I am finished my task in writing the speech of YDP and S/U MDS and I have show it to my supervisor.

-Puan Nurul Azwa tell me to make a few correction especially in  using a long sentences and the margin of the speech.

-Today my SV ask me to go with her to Selama Inn to present on Selama Tourism Book with another one internship student.

-As I am still new in this department, I give full responsibilities to the other internship student to present on Selama Tourism Book.

-There are a lot of question from the YDP and S/U about the tourism book and luckily my supervisor also help us in answering each question.

-Today I had finish all my task to do talk by YDP and S/U in Selama Tourism Book.

-I am finished to re-edit the pictures of YDP and S/U to be put onto the book then I need to convert all the documents that had finish by other internship student from word to pdf to make sure that there is no more further mistakes.

-Today I look further onto the ecotourism and agrotourism in area Selama Perak by using google. I found out that there are still a place in Selama that cannot be find in google map such Telaga Gergasi, Sungai diAtas Sungai and a few lata in Selama..

-Then, the review of people who ever visit the place in Selama is very low so I am planning to make my own video to make Selama well-known.

-There are many customer who comes today due to the baazar issue and new taxes that have been introduced which is Cukai Ladang.

- The new taxes that being introduced has make a few gardener and farmer comes to discussing regarding the taxes. Some of them are fine with the taxes because they said it has been implement in Kedah and others city for a long time ago.

-There are also some customers who comes who comes to ask about empty shops or empty base in area of Kubu Gajah and Redang Panjang.

-Today Puan Rohaya asked me to help her in collecting the donation for a few internship students that are going to end the internship by the end of this week.

-The donation is because for those who internship in MDS, there is no allowance and these donation is to buy a few presents to thanked the internship student for all their works and energy.

-Besides that, I also help Puan Rohaya in preparing the certificates for those internship student who going to finish their internship by the end of the week.

-I also help in preparing the presents for those internship students.

-Early in the morning, I re-continue collecting the donation that Puan Rohaya ask yesterday and there are still a few staff who are leave yesterday and today so I need to collect the donation again tomorrow.

-I am helping Encik Razif from Unit Undang-undang to binding some documents and files. There are a lot of part that I need to divide before binding the documents and Encik Razif have guide me well before assign me the task. Those documents are confidential so I need to pay a lot attention before binding it to avoid me doing any mistakes.

-Then, I also accompanied Encik Raja Syarafuddin in collecting the rent from local at the “Baazar Ramadhan”.

-It was a last day for a few internship students from ADTEC Kulim and Politeknik to finish their On the Job Training (OJT) in MDS.

-As usual, when there is last day of internship student, MDS will make a farewell party to thanked them for all sacrifice in time and energy. I will finish my last internship in last two weeks so Puan Rohaya told me to give some last word with other internship students.

-I thanks all member and staff in MDS and I give my last speech as well as recommendation to the MDS as a student that have a minor in tourism.

 

-Helping Puan Norazline in re-arrange all files of Jabatan Penilaian dan Penyimpanan Harta onto its places according ascending order.

-I also help in managing some letters for local who have finish their payment on rent MDS shop. There are about seventy five people and I need to make a photocopy on their resit and other documents and save it in their own files one by one.

-Then, I need to put all original resit and documents into envelope with their name on it and arrange it by numeric order.

-Today I have been follow Encik Raja Syarafuddin and Puan Norazlina into collecting the rent from a few local in the area of Ijok, Bagan Baharu and Redang Panjang.

-Since we go early in the morning, there are still many shop that have not been opened yet so Encik Raja decide to go on evening.

-As I have been following Puan Norazlina and Encik Raja in collecting the rent and taxes, Puan Norazlina and Encik Raja bring me to see unique place in Selama such Telaga Gergasi and Kota Raja Bersiung.

-Today my SV told me to write up the recommendation that I give during my last talk last week.

-I give the recommendation to make Selama Inn into a green guest house so the tourism units seem to be interested on my idea and the SV want me to write a report on the suggestion.

-Today I am a bit busy as there are many customer who comes and gives feedback and complain on their “Tapak Baazar and Tapak Aidilfitri”.

-A few issues is the same which the electricity in the tapak are black out and cannot be used due to the raining day and the condition of their tapak baazar that full with water around the floor.

-MDS has sent a few maintainance and crew to help these seller in cleaning their baazar.

-Today I have follow Puan Norazlina and Encik Amirul to collecting the rent at the area of Selama, Kubu Gajah and Felda Ijok.

-MDS have many shops that rented by local surrounding the area and village in Selama.

-As I am following both this MDS staff, I learned a lot about where the MDS shops was located and I also learn a way in communicate with community and the one who rent MDS shop with a proper etique and proper way.

-It was my last day of internship in Majlis Daerah Selama.

-I finished all my task such I submit all HRMIS calculation that I am done with to Tuan Haji Zaim, finish in writing all my daily log to be submit to my supervisor and I thanked all people who have guide and help me a lot while I was in MDS.

-I also have put all my recommendation and task into sharing files of MDS so that it is easy when the staff want to use or missing any of task that I have done.
