To begin with the class I followed the Teachers routines, I wrote the date and the "Daily Agenda"
The topic of my Practicums was "Clothes" so, in order to present it, I printed some pictures of people wearing different clothes and, among them, one of myself at their age. Students found that quite funny.

Using pictures from different moments in the story, I elicited what had happened with the Emperor and his clothes.  
Then students were ready to complete a true/ false activity. After checking it orally, students did a second activity. In this case, they had to read and colour the emperor's clothes.I walked arround the classroom monitoring the activity but students did it perfectly!
After that, we played some games: a chain game, where they had to add words to a sentence, for instance one student said " she is wearing a red shirt" and the following students said " she is wearing a red shirt and blue shorts" and so on. they loved it!

After the break, I introduced some new words. I used pictures of a wooly hat, a scraf, socks and gloves and I elicited that people wears them in winter. We wrote their names on the board.
I followed the same proceduces with items of clothing we wear in summer such as t-shirt, skirt, dress and shorts. Next, I prepared a chart (winter/ summer) and students put the flashcards with the names of the clothes in the right collumn.
Now they were ready for a writen activity!
The final activity was a game. For this one, I brought items of clothing from my wardrobe and put them in two boxes. I called 6 students and divided them in two teams and gave each of them a propt. Their task was to read the instructions and dress up one of their partners with the instructed clothes. It was hillarius! All of them wanted to participate.

I was there for a Science class and the second time; for a Grammar and vocabulary class. 
Students had an elementary level of english and used the language most of the class. As  NCI, the collegue, is a bilingual one, all the classes in the afternoon were delivered in English so students were used to it. 
During the Science class thei carried out and experiment and they made their own volcano. In previous classes they have been studying natural disasters. 
During the grammar and vocabulary classes, students worked with present continuous tense, firts, describing pictures from a story, telling what was happening. After that they did some oral activties and then, they worked with their coursebook.

After welcoming the class and writing the date on the board, I took out some pictures of a boy. With them, I created a kind of story, telling children that that was my friend Tim, who is 9 years old and I talked about his daily routine while I showed them the pictures. I also used gestures so that it was easier for them to understand what was to clean something, or to put off something for instance. 
After that we worked with their coursebook. therem altogether, we read a note that Tim has written to his mother. The idea was to work on that so that students could write their own note. 
For that, I prepared a note to my Mum. I think that writing it myself with places and people they know made it easier for them to undestand what kind of information was expected. I asked students to read the note with me, putting the paragraphs in the correct order. I asked students comprehension questions and they answered correctly. Then, I asked them to write a similar one.  
students worked realy well, even though that this activity was a bit challenging for them, they were used to writing so they could do it. Every student could write their note. once they had finished, some volunteers came to the front and read it aloud.
