This book when read to older kids can also present the idea of "There is beauty in change". By showing how the little egg in the story changes in to a beautiful butterfly, children will see that change shouldn't be scary but embraced and fun.

This worksheet can be used for kids to observe change. This can be done by having the kids color in how they believe the butterfly will change over time. With different colors and perspectives kids will begin to see that change is beautiful not bad.

In the book we see that the hungry caterpillar starts eating fruits and vegetables but finds himself to still be hungry. He proceeds to eat junk food like, lollipops and cupcakes. The next morning he wakes up and doesn't feel well. He begins to eat a green leaf and feels better.

This is a worksheet that can let kids show what they believe to be healthy and good for them and what would be unhealthy.
