the mother and the son had a conflict when the son tried to help the grandfather out, the son wanted to help the grandfather while the mother is out but when the mother found out, she was unhappy about what the son did because she warned him not to meddle with grandfather’s matters.

the conflict between the mother and the grandfather where the he wanted to know what illness he had and she wouldnt tell him, the mother felt that should rest and should not worry about his illness but grandfather wanted to know what illness he had as he felt like a burden towards her.

We feel this impacts the text as we can really see how the persona is deeply impacted and regretful; “why didn't I go to his room? Why didn't I help him?” this really shows how he wished he could've interacted more with grandpa.

I see myself in the sons shoes because in the way I see it son could’ve handled the situation differently by ignoring the gong gong in the start instead of going into his room to disturb his resting like mother said he needed abit of alone time.

Dear Mother,

I know you are overwhelmed and frustrated because of everything going on. The fact that your son has O levels and your father suffering from a brain tumour.

I know you think you can handle everything but we are not machines I know you need help but you reject it from your son but you need it. Look your father does not only need medical health , he needs family care. You know he does not have long to live so spend time and make his last moments on earth memorable.
