Positive Education and Wellbeing Extension by Leticia Cariño

The aim of the extension is to plan an Impact Project.

Think of something you can do for yourself or your students that might have a positive impact.
It can be something small, such as celebrating learners and growth, being grateful, and being mindful of what you do.
You might want to consider a way to work on your professional/personal life balance.
It might be a project that you address to students so they are aware of their emotions and learn how to be more resilient or how to better deal with them…

It’s your game. Please add your ideas to a post by clicking the + sign. I can’t wait to hear from you!

Thanks again for being here today.

Encourage yourself and your students to think about something they are grateful for or appreciate in their lives or their learning journey. It could be a personal achievement, a supportive classmate, a meaningful learning experience, or any positive aspect they want to acknowledge.

By incorporating gratitude and reflection into your routine, you cultivate a positive mindset and create opportunities to celebrate learners' growth and achievements. It helps you and your students recognize the progress made, both big and small, fostering a sense of accomplishment and boosting self-confidence.

Thanks Leti for a really engaging presentation and such an important topic. I think in the secondary school with the home group first thing every morning is a great opportunity to engage with the small group of students. I really like the idea of a gratitude wall or even just making gratitude statements for each other. We use a class padlet and I will try to do a gratitude activity using our padlet to share positive messages with each other.
