Why is he tired? Partially because he does not get enough sleep due to constant stress and clinical depression, but mainly because of the Endocrine System. There are certain glands that cause people to sleep. The most important for helping you sleep is the Pineal gland. The Pineal gland produces melatonin, which helps regulate the sleep cycle. It is located on the back portion of the third cerebral ventricle of the brain. This gland lies in-between the two halves of the brain. The body requires rest so the muscle that you completely ripped apart while exercising/button mashing while playing Fortnite can repair and become stronger. Researchers have also shown that after people sleep, they tend to retain information and perform better on memory tasks. Our bodies all require periods of sleep in order to regrow muscle, repair tissue, and synthesize hormones.
