You can learn from home, not just school things, also many many other things,for example: programming, tips and tricks for daily life.

Cons:
It is not hard to make vulnerable files for other computers.
Many people with bad thoughts are abusing disadvantages of internet, like blackmailing people.
It is easy to get lost in the sites where you should not be, for example phising sites.
People very often download pirated content what is not controlled by download solutipns like torrents and torrent can be infected by viruses.
