thank you so much for supplying PDF for all classes. I find these much easier to take notes from and then just add anything extra from listening to the video.
Class activities were beneficial to further confirm information wasn’t just going in one ear and out the other.
I found the physics modules somewhat confusing. I just wonder do we need to know this information so in depth? Whilst I understand it plays a vital part in mammography, do we need to know IT so in depth? Ie binary code?
Overall the course was greatly improved since the first block.
Thank you.

I found the lectures that were powerpoints with the voiceover much easier to follow as you could read the information clearly at the same time. It’s good to have the pdf but was sometimes hard to follow this style of learning. I found it time consuming getting different lectures to load as they were in different formats. I feel if they were put on in the same format it would be easier and less time would be wasted. I think the padlets are useful.

I found it would be easier if the pdf's had plain backgrounds, or give access to original powerpoint presentations so we can custom print. I'm running out of ink.Physics lecture very good but hard to see graphs and follow. How much of this information do we need to know in depth?. The Tomosynthesis lecture was very good , it was hard to follow the images. It is not obvious to the untrained eye to pick out pathology. Maybe highlighting the ROI or label images ?, found it frustrating and difficult to follow this part. References at the end of the lecture typed would be beneficial. There was a glare on the presentation screen for the physics and tomo lecture. Also , how much further reading is required? what is important key points we need to know?. The course lectures are all very good, helpful and opportunity to ask questions. I find there is more focus on assignments (which i greatly appreciate) rather than learning the basics of mammography, anatomy, pathology.

I definitely found the PowerPoints with voice over the best format rather than a filmed presentation. The audio was better and easier to see the slides. I like the use of the padlet that can be done anonymously, this could be used more to facilitate some discussion as this is something we miss out on not meeting in person. I agree with others that I found the volume of information on the physics module overwhelming. Maybe there could be a presentation on things that are more important to know and focus on and then a presentation on background information that is of interest rather than something we need to know in detail. The tomo lecture could have done with highlighting the areas the presenter was talking about as I struggled to know what areas she was referring to. It might be difficult to organise and I don't know if teams has the same function but in zoom you can organise "breakout rooms" where the organiser can put participants into smaller groups, this could maybe aid class discussion as it can be overwhelming to bring up a point for discussion in a larger group. Overall though you have all done so well and I am really grateful for the effort you have put in to bring us great quality teaching.

I agree with the others that the powerpoints with voiceover were a better format, although lovely to see the lecturers faces it was sometimes difficult to see the presentation in detail and sound not always great. The tomo lecture was really good but would have benefitted for ROI as we couldn't see the areas Jane was pointing out. I think this was also the case in the additional views presentation at points. The padlet is a great format. and enjoyed the class activities this time also, would definately like to see these in future blocks. Overall I think you have all done a fab job esp in the circumstances. Thank you

Agree with all the comments made already. I found the tomo lecture very good because you could edit the powerpoint if required and go through the slides at your own pace because there was voiceover with each slide instead of loading a youtube video and sometimes flicking between the video and PDF.
Again, found the physics lecture overwhelming and quite confusing but is the depth of knowledge required.
Really enjoying the course and being able to work through the lectures at our own pace. Thanks for all your help through these difficult times.

Many thanks to all the lecturers and coordinators who contributed to the improvement of block 2 tutorials. It's a hard time for all of us yet the presentations were well prepared and informative. Appreciate if the marking comments for the sample essays could be uploaded for reference. Thanks again!

I agree with comments regarding delivery of presentations. The narrated power points are easier to follow than you tube videos presenting slides. It is however nice to see your tutor but this could perhaps be addressed by having a short welcome video with introductions from each tutor. I have used this method before on online MSc delivery and gives students the opportunity to meet tutors and hear brief info about their role and departments they work in.

I feel yesterday's discussions regarding marking criteria for essay's and comparing students comments with formal grades generated confusion within the group. I could be wrong in my interpretation but in general came away thinking that the message being delivered was to lessen critique within the essay in contrast to the presentation delivered by Simon Holmes on how to critique a paper. Matching essay submission to the learning outcomes stated for Mammography 1 requires critical evaluation and critical appraisal for SCQF level 11. I only raise this as concerned that students may feel essay should be more narrative in nature after yesterdays discussions.

I can appreciate that this has been a difficult time for everyone and would like to say that it has been remarkable that the programme has been delivered online in such a short turn around time when previously delivered face-to-face. Thank you for all your efforts as a team and look forward to continuing on the course.

Definitely easier with pdf's for all presentations. I agree with comments re the PowerPoints easier than the YouTube videos. Also find it easier to print from there as can get print without background on slides. Do feel like I am missing classroom discussion as go through the presentations however appreciate this can't be helped. Thanks for all your hard work in these difficult times.
