         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>My vision</em> is that all students regardless of age, gender, socio-economic class, ethnicity, and ability, receive curriculum and instruction to meet their needs to be independent and successful academically, socially, and emotionally. <br><br><em>My Philosophy</em> is that each student is different and unique in their own way. Therefore, as a school, we need to build and modify demonstration to fit the needs of all students. Some may need extra support academically, while others needs extra support emotionally; whatever the need is our school must find a plan to allow each student to be successful in our setting. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Who Decides What Students Learn?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Making a decision of what is entailed in a students curriculum should never be left up to one person, there should be a team of people. I feel there should be a team because each person can bring a different perspective and idea to the table. For instance, teachers are important components to deciding what students should learn, because they are hands on with the students and have ideas of what works and what doesn't. Administration should take part because they have background knowledge as well as attend workshops with other districts in the area discussing what others are doing that works.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Different Curriculum for Different Students?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Each student and their abilities vary drastically. Therefore, I believe curriculum should be modified to fit the needs of certain students that need. I believe there should be a curriculum map of the overall content and standards all students are accountable for. However, modifying and choosing from that map what is necessary for particular students is important. </div>]]></description>

         <title>My Role in Curriculum </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>My role as a school counselor is to ensure students developmental needs academically, socially, and emotionally are being met within their classroom. I am a support system for the students to rely on to be their advocate. Ensuring their developmental needs are met is part of the curriculum I abide by. I witness this in the classroom conducting lessons, and outside the classroom interacting interpersonally. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>My program aligns with my philosophy because it fits the needs of any student. The curriculum should be able to generally fit the population of students, however with modification to specific needs. I am there to ensure this is occurring and support the students. My program is not only flexible and able to be tweaked necessarily, but also a foundation point to ensure students are getting the most of their education. </div>]]></description>
