Find any possible provisions not far away from your uni-shelter. You may visit any shop (not only a shop) in your team’s direction to enrich your stocks. Level 6: An abandoned cafe or skating on thin ice

A part of your team has just returned from a little outside crawl in order to find some useful items and provisions. All the members insisted on returning to a shelter together. However, as a matter of fact, you had an opposing opinion because returning to the uni-shelter, you pass through the second floor, where a uni-cafe is located. None of the other teams occupied this area as Zombies can be frequently noticed on the second floor.

The task: describe some possible items you could take from the cafe using conditionals and modals. Create a collective Google document (or keep working on the one you have already created during the class). The more sentences you write, the more points you get.

Level 7: A Creative Spark

There is no electricity or gas available to cook with, and the zombies are beginning to associate smoke with human beings. The survivors must find ways to heat/cook food and water that will not give away the location. One option is solar cooking. Invent a device that will solve the problem and save your life.

- Describe the mechanism of working;
- Describe the layout;
- State the way it can help fight against zombies;
- Use modal verbs and conditional sentences of different types.
- The more sentences you write, the more points you get.
Post this task in the same Google document.

Level 8: The final project: Zombie Treaty

Each team will draw up a plan for the best course of action in the form of the Zombie Apocalypse Treaty. You will need to consider the highlighted aspects. Create a treaty/constitution for your group, demonstrating various types of conditional sentences (0,1,2,3, and mixed types). Come to some kind of compromise.

2. Choose a leader: How should you pick the leaders of your group? Should you hold a quick election? Draw straws? Why not talk amongst yourselves and just allow someone to volunteer? Be aware though, for the rest of the game you will take orders from that person until there is a revolt or they get eaten by zombies.

3. Labor: Will there be a division of labour? Will each person have a specific job to do or will you all share duties equally? For example, should someone carry supplies and others fight? Who cooks … (etc.)?

4. Wealth: Should members of your group divide possessions communally or do individuals get to keep their own things?

5. Shelter: Should we allow other survivors to join our group if we barricade ourselves in?

6. Responsibility: Is it even our duty to fight the zombies? Surely, the military must have set up a base somewhere, right?

7. Laws: Do we have any laws as a group? If so, what are they? What are the punishments for breaking these laws?

8. Health/Infection: What do we do if one of us becomes infected?
Post a treaty in the same document.

The Zero / First / Second/ Third / Mixed types of Conditional sentences should be presented in an online interview / podcast / intellectual show / a show revealing secrets etc.

E.g. a survival radio show, a Ted-talk (if you make up your mind to work alone). I am not limiting you in this aspect.
