“Hello everyone! My name is Lily Henry, today I will be your interpreter for this living history museum exhibit. As you might be able to tell by my shirt, this living history exhibit is about women's rights. My shirt reads “Women's rights are equal rights”, and through this exhibit I hope that can be conveyed to all of you today. To give you all some background on this topic, the women's right movement is a diverse social movement, largely based in the United States, that in the 1960s and ’70s sought equal rights and opportunities and greater personal freedom for women. This is a movement that is happening to this day, and through this exhibit you will see how this movement has changed over time. Throughout our walk today, we are going to go through time seeing how this has evolved through generations.”

Burkett, E. (2022, December 2). Women's Rights Movement. This outfit belonged to her mother, Ellen Jane Knight Bradford. Bradford said this outfit was beneficial to women's health, allowing for freedom to breath and for movement, but she was quickly criticized as some saw this output s underfeminine.

"The last object in this living history exhibit is a photo from this year, 2022. This photgraph helps reflect that women are still fighting the same fight that has been occuring for centuries. This photo was taken from a Pro-abortion rights protests across the US after Roe V Wade abortion ruling. As we near the end of this exhibit, I wanted you all to see a picture from the recent year to see that this fight is something that will proceed many generations to come. Womens rights are something to be well educated on and they go far beyond what you have all seen here today, so get out there and learn even more!"

Before I let you explore, I will give you a little background. This photograph and these posters span across the years of 1956 to 1977. The photograph is of womens marching in protest for voting rights, the first poster is reflecting the right to choose, and the second poster goes more in depth about equal working rights for women. I hope you all enjoy diving into the works and let me know if you have any questions along the way.”

“Our next two posters are a great reflection on how from 1983 to 2017, women have been fighting the same fight, to make women's rights, human rights. The first poster is reflective of a poster handmade during Women's Equality Day and the second poster is a handmade poster for the Women's March. Both posters are fighting for the same thing, yet they are about thirty years apart. Therein lies the issue at hand, why have women had to fight for the same issue for so long? Feel free to discuss this amongst yourself and peers and come back to me with any questions or comments!”
