         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>A postmodern literary technique is fragmentation. The writers' themes and storylines were disintegrated, which is what it means to fracture anything. The idea of totality and conclusion was being abandoned in favor of interruptions, isolations, and instability.</li><li>A paradox is a literary device that forces the reader to think more deeply or critically about a statement or idea than they might otherwise. It's a claim or notion that, when given further thought, appears to be nonsensical but actually makes sense.</li><li>imitation of a certain writer's or school of writers' mannerisms and diction. Parody often has a negative motive; it seeks to ridicule a writer's or a school's overused traditions or perceived flaws.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Metafictional twist: "imagened or ghostly person" pg 329<ul><li>Briony could feel that she is walking back to being a probationary nurse although she is a famous novelist.</li></ul></li><li>There is the posibility that in the epilogue that Atonement is opend up with fiction.<ul><li>The epilogue alone is a form of metafiction.</li></ul></li><li>There is multiple references evident that the piece of fiction were being written.<ul><li>"Letter Mr. Nettler wrote [her] about Gunkirk" pg. 359.</li><li>basis of Robbies detailed experience in Part Two and numerous rewrites that had led to the final version, in which her "lovers and well, standing side by side on a South Londen Pavement" pg. 370</li><li>This implies that there is more left out that she first anticipated to.</li></ul></li></ul>]]></description>
