The Holodomor was the Ukrainian Famine which was man-made by polices enforced by Stalin of forced organization. This famine caused the deaths of millions of Ukrainians as the USSR government made an official order to gain the use of grain to be able to export it and have state use.

The USSR was admitted to join the League of Nations to help making more engagement with international diplomacy at this time. It was included into the league to be a representative to its board to become a permanent member.

The Great Purge was created by Joseph Stalin. He had began a campaign of political repression and targeted party members. In addition he also targeted, military officers, intellectuals, and ordinary citizens. During the Great Purge there was a lot of arrests that had occurred, lots of show trials, and executions.

The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was created by the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany signing a non-aggression pact. In this pact it was made in secret and included plans to divide Eastern Europe into spheres of influence. After the pact was created, both nations invaded Poland which then began World War II.

The annexation of baltic states had began under the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact’s terms. The USSR had occupied along with annexed Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, gaining a strong control over the region.

Operation Barbarossa has begun when Nazi Germany launched a massive invasion of the Soviet Union. This massive invasion broke the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact the two countries had. With this massive invasion it also started the Eastern Front in World War II.
