Topic: should we take in refugee?

Introduction: definition of refugee

Stance: we can accept refugee but with condition

Main ideas:  1) Boost economy

                       2) Teach our young about moral

                       3) Save the lives of child refugees

 

Introduction 

·         Definition of refugee – is a displaced person who has been forced to cross national boundaries and who cannot return home safely

Main ideas

1)      Turning away allies will make us less safe – a 2013 study by Daniel Milton, Megan Spencer and Michael Findley found that the location of resettlement for refugees is critical in determining whether refugees would be susceptible to do extremism

2)      Refugees camps are fertile ground for breeding extremism

3)      Demonstrate moral courage – to resist allowing fear to overwhelm our humanity

 

Stance:

Would send our kids to the private school if we can afford it until the public school system has been improved further.

 

Main idea 1: Private school has better facilities

·       The money comes from the parents, money will be used to finance the school

·       Private donations

Main idea 2: Private schools can create their own curriculum

·       They can either choose to use the public school’s curriculum or develop their own

·       Does not guarantee that it would be better than public school

·       Teachers from private school are not required to be certified by the ministry- parents don’t know the level of training received by the teacher

Main idea 3: The fees for private school is too expensive

·       Not everyone can afford the tuition fees

·       Can only be attended by a specific class of a society

·       Not all students can have good facilities

Main idea 4: Public school is affordable by everyone

·       Money from government and taxes

·       May be underfunded

·       However, budget friendly

Main idea 5: In public school, can meet people from different walks of life

·       Exposed to how the world is actually like

·       In private school, students often come from the same socio-economic background

Main idea 6: Public school cannot meet to every students’ needs

·       Students:teacher ratio too big

·       Students will not get enough attention from the teacher

- New generation students are greatly influenced by electronic media such as television program, the Internet and movies. 

- Many people claimed that electronic media brings negative impact on students.

- Electronic media help a lot in students’ learning path.

- Electronic media helps students in gaining knowledge and information easily, developing students’ own values and allows fast communication and building relationships with friends and family. 

- Electronic media provides knowledge and information that are not obtainable in school, more lively and interesting and attracts students easily.

- The information could be obtained easily and quickly, varieties of information to be chosen based on students’ needs.

- Meaningful multimedia presentation in electronic media imparts positive values towards students, helps in students’ spiritual growth and mental development.

- Movie makes students to be more creative, inspires and motivates them and allows students to found out their interests

- Since there are no rules and regulations in the Internet, anyone could write anything in the Internet.

- Some of the comments in radio or television are opinion-based or biased-opinion.

- Students should differentiate and choose what is right and what is not.  Students nowadays highly rely on the benefits of electronic media and the cons is only when students does not use it well, therefore, electronic media brings more pros then cons to students.

 

 

- These impacts are assisting students’ learning path in a positive way. 

- As long as students make good use of it, electronic media would be the best support in learning path.
