Biomimicy Product:  Magnets in broken PVC pipe

Description of Product:

Magnets repel sharks. Therefore, I wanted to create a way to put magnets in the ocean near the beach/swimmers.  Magnets slide into the PVC pipes.  The PVC pipes must be broken to mimic sea grass.  This design moves smoothly with the waves and does not get broken.

Problem: Water sticking to side view mirrors on cars

Inspired from Nature: Box-patterned gecko

Description of Product: It would be a clear, thin piece of plastic that you put over your side view mirror. It will have small raised pieces of clear plastic to act as the geckos hair which is used to let the water easily run off.

Problem: trash on the beach

Biomimicry Product: A fake crab that picks up trash in the sand

Inspired from nature: vultures, crows, other animals that decompose trash on the beach.

Description of Product: A crab with a vacuum built underneath it to pick up the garbage

Problems: Unorganized Towns

Biomimetic Product: Neat and organized town designs.

Inspired by Nature: Ants and Termites' Mounds.

Description: Neatly organized town with sections for food, house, parks, and farms to make it easier for new to know where to go.

Problem: Shoes getting wet

Biomimicry Product: A shoe with the pattern of a lotus leaf

Inspired from nature:Lotus Leaf

Description: This is a shoe with the pattern of lotus leafs on the outside that way water wont get all over the shoe and keeps it dry.

Problem: Glasses without nightvission, but glasses with sunlight protection?

Biomimicry Product: A Reflective layer added to glasses to allow for night vision.

Inspired from Nature: Cat's Tapetum Lucidum (Reflective Layer).

Description of Product: Cats possess night vision due to their Tapetum Lucidum, a reflective layer that bounces light back to their eyes, enhancing their night vision. Infusing a similar reflective layer into the prescription needed for the person's use, this will allow the person who wears the glasses to see with their prescription, but also see in the dark.

Problem: Fire and safety trying to go up a skyscraper to save someone from a fire/danger but the stairwell is obstructed.

Inspired by nature: Lizards climbing walls and surfaces.

Description: Use tiny sticky hairs to be able to climb up and set up a pulley system to get the threatened person/animal out.

Problem: Lots of people are blind.

Biomimicry Product: Hearing aids that send sound waves at objects.

Inspired from Nature: Bats.

Description: The hearing aid sends sound waves through the air, and they bounce off of objects then send information to the brain, like how big it is or what it's shape is.

Problem: people falling off mountains.

Inspired from nature: gecko feet and frog feet

Description product: A shoes with gecko and frog type material on the bottom of the shoe for more grip

Problem: Cars getting damaged by hail

Biomimicry Product: Repairing material on cars

Inspired by Nature: Gecko's healing/regeneration

Description of Product: When it hails and your car gets dented instead of having to pay for an expensive repair the car will regenerate and get rid of the dent/scratch.

Problem: While driving at night bright headlights blind drivers. However drivers need a way to see at night.

Biomimicry product/inspired from nature: Racoons' eye reflects light allowing them to see and night.

Descripition: the window will have a glass layer than a slightly tinted layer followed by a one way mirror layer and finally another slightly tinted window layer.

Problem: When runners are running the shoes get wet and your feet get wet it increases the the risk of getting a feet fungus.

Bio-mimicry Product: Water repellent spray

Inspired by nature: Leaves waxy coating on it that repels water.

Description of Product: When you spray our water repellent spray on your shoes then the water will not get into your shoes and you will not get foot fungus!

Problem: Dishes take too long

Biomimicry lily pad leaves clean with just water.

Description: Are you tired of spending all of your money on dish soap? Are you tired of taking 30 minutes just to do dishes? Our specialized dishes cleaned with just water. Just one rinse and no mess is left!

Problem: This solution addresses the issues of tarnished and tangled jewelry.

Biomimicry Product: Organized, beehive-like, tarnish-free jewelry box.

Inspired from nature: Beehives

Description of Product: Will be a sealed jewlery box that is waterproff, leaving your jewelry non-tarnishable. Inside will have a pattern like honeycomb, so your jewlery doesn't get tangled. This pattern will be lined with tarnish proof material. The front of the box will have a knob to open it with a bee on it. This jewelry box comes with "tweezers" as well. If people don't want to grab their jewlery out with their hands they can use the tweezers instead.
