because of how i was raised, my general responses to feedback and critique are things i’ve been working on. when receiving feedback, i oftentimes feel really nervous and ashamed, as if i did something wrong. however, it does help when people deliver it with care and in a way that lets me know they actually want me to do better

Before giving feedback, I seek the other person's perspective on the issue/challenge...because it is a pet peeve of mine to receive feedback if/when the person giving it doesn't have all of the information, or if they're giving me feedback based on hearsay, etc.

I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt in their delivery, but the human in me wants to gets defensive! Have to remember every NVC course I took to not react immediately or make a hasty decision.
