As soon as your 12 or less you get married to a guy whose 3-4 times older than you, I know this because in this story Anooka's father convinces Anooka to Marry the clans leader Durgun. Anooka wants to be alone, she has a talent of shaping animals out of clay which shes forbidden to, but will Anooka marry Durgun after all

  I admire Anooka because she is strong and persistent.  When her mother left her at a young age she didn't let that stop her life and Anooka kept on working and living in her tribe happy and strong. She also fights for what she loves and what she believes in. For example, when she thought that she shouldn't marry, her father didn't agree but she was persistent and didn't let Tor own her. She is also strong in a physical way, she doesn't let her gender determine how well she can hunt or how well she can fight. For example, with her strength and wits she was able to fight of a bear in the wild all by herself.

Anooka and I have very different lives. Anooka lives in a clan with huts, with no mother but a father and a older sister that protects her. I don't live in a clan but I do live in a community in a house. Have a mother unlike Anooka but I do like Anooka have a sister that loves and protects me. 
Anooka has to hut and gather her food and make her own clothes and tools. While I go and buy all these materials. 
Lastly I go and get an education and don't marry at a young age. But all clan people in the Salmon Clan don't get a proper education, most probably don't get an education such as mine. And of course I wouldn't want to marry at her age and I don't have to.
