Do you crave for attention and don't really want to accept reality? If you say yes then you are just like the narrator in "So I Ain't No Good Girl". In this story it's basically about a girl that wants the attention of a boy named Raheem to focus on her and be with her. From the text, on page (24), the narrator says " I apologize just like momma does when my daddy slaps her. This quote means and shows that the narrator has to accept her reality because she is like a dog to Raheem. She has to first accept who she is.

To begin with, in "I ain't no good girl," by Sharon Flake, love hurts in the story the narrator is in love with a boy named Raheem. Raheem treats the narrator like trash but she loves him so much she will always forgive him. "Raheem all up in her face. Sunglasses off. Arms wrapped around her neck. His sweet, brown lips pressed tight to hers." Love hurts as a theme because when the narrator saw this she started to cry and getting angry. She started to cry cause Raheem was cheating on her and she know he will always go back to the good girls.

Some people in our community today are always looking around for what other people think or trying to find or be in the trend. One character in the book " So I ain't no good girl " by Sharon Flake is always worriying about what her boyfriend Raheem thinks. she needs to just be herself and not worry about what other people think. " It's too big in too many places, that's what I think. But Raheem likes it. That's all that counts right?" This quote shows that she is only worried about keeping Raheem content. It also shows she is confused about her life and body because she is asking " That's all that counts right?" However if she was being herself and not worrying about what other people think she wouldn't ask or even think or even wonder about what Raheem think and if that's all that matters.
