Objective

In this activity, you will demonstrate your ability to communicate effectively using nonverbal delivery — facial expressions, gestures, posture, and movement — WITHOUT using any spoken words.

By the end of this task, you should be able to:

• Use nonverbal cues to deliver a clear and creative message.

• Coordinate effectively with team members in performance and recording.

• Reflect on how body language and expression replace verbal communication.

Group Setup

• Form a group of 3-4 members.

- Planning & rehearsal: 20–25 minutes

- Video duration: minimum 1 minute

Task Instructions

1. Each group will choose a common everyday product (e.g., pen, water bottle, book, mug). But do not show the product in the video. *You may pretend holding the product while shooting the video.

2. Create a 60 seconds (or more) silent tiktok commercial/advert video that promotes this product using only nonverbal communication.

- You may use music or sound effects, but NO SPEECH, DIALOGUE OR SUBTITLES.

- Show:

• What the product is used for.

• Why people should use or buy it (its benefit or “selling point”).

• A creative or emotional element that engages the audience.

3. Use exaggerated facial expressions, gestures, and clear actions to help the audience understand your message.

Record your commercial using a smartphone, tablet, or camera. You may edit lightly (add background music, slow motion, or transitions).
