The two young people- a male and a female- are possibly armed with heavy gingerbread cladding from the now deceased widow's home and are considered extremely dangerous. It is believed the break-and-enter-gone-wrong took an ugly turn when the pair were discovered by the widow inside her gingerbread home late this afternoon. Reports suggest that the woman tried to fight back, with evidence of a struggle found inside the cottage, although it is unclear exactly what transpired. Authorities were faced with a dead body and gruesome scene when they were called to the cottage by a distant neighbour who heard the commotion but was too frightened to intervene. The widow appears to have been scalded to death with boiling hot stew which some are speculating was part of a meal she had prepared for her 1 year anniversary with elderly partner Robert who was, at the time, out of the house attending a medical appointment. Robert was overcome with grief at the scene and had to be rushed to hospital following the news- his second chance at love now dashed by this pair of vicious criminals. Reports are flowing in about the pair's background with some saying they were raised in and fleeing from an extremely abusive and neglectful home and that given their young age, they too, are victims. Their mother and step-father are being questioned this evening and it is believed that the parents are known to Child Services.
