Schools reproduce this hegemony of the dominant social group over others through conditioning students “with the knowledge and skills they will need to occupy their respective places” within the social hierarchy.

I also am always interested in material analysis of art and culture, which means that conversation around everything we read and write will include consideration of race, class, etc.
