I infer that the Milliner was a loyalist because i know on page 10. that he was a loyalist because the book states that he wanted King Goerge lll to be the ruler of the 13 colonies. And he said stuff like what stylish women wore from England to France. They also stated that he stayed “PAY IT! COUNT YOUR BLESSING” And said”I’d rather prefer the king.” In the book it seemed as if he came from England. It literally said”my customers will be able to sip tea again!” IT even sounded that he was British. You could just tell, that he wasThat’s why the Milliner was a loyalist!

- Connor Grunewald,

I know this because it states that “I am a slave I will always be bond.” That is why he is neutral. The Blacksmiths slave response to the tea tax by, he states “men sit in his shop and talk about tea, tax, liberty, and freedom. Freedom for them, but not me”. This states he doesn’t really care for the tea tax. The Blacksmiths slave choose this side because he wouldn’t get freedom either way.

I infer that the dame school was a Patriot because on page 4 it states “king George does not give up but nor do we”.So I think she means that he doesn’t give up on selling the tea and making people pay there taxes but they will not pay them and if it’s the last thing they do.I’m very positive that the dame school does not like this tea idea at all. From the text it states “a special day,we’re it not for those three tea ships lurking in the harbor”.I also think she means that if it weren’t for those ships then the tea will stop coming to England.I think that the colonist chooses sides because there sick of that tea and that it’s not fair that they all have to pay money for that tea. So I think that it was also why they started the Boston Tea Party. And so that explains why the dame school will fight for there freedom And that is why I think the dame school is a Patriot!

-Hailey Ludlow

I infer that the Midwife is a Patriot. I infer this because when the author said, “A TINY PATRIOT! What will his future be? My heart fills: my eyes spill,” it sounds as if she is celebrating the baby being a Patriot. Also, she knows that there is a Sons of Liberty meeting happening at the moment and how else would she get that information.
I infer that the Midwife responds to tea tax by not buying tea but brewing it. I infer this because the author states, “I brew tea from sage and chamomile.”
I infer that the Midwife chose to be a Patriot because she thinks it’s safer for the kids also because she doesn’t want to pay taxes. I infer this because the author said, “My payment, a yard of ribbon and a baby pig, does not tell the tale of why I am a Midwife.” Explaining that she doesn’t get paid well so she probably doesn’t have a lot of money for taxes.
This is why I think the Midwife is a Patriot.

I know this because on page 10 it states,”we should be thankful to get that English tea!” The text also says, in capital “SUCH A TEMPEST!” I infer that this means that she just wants to pay the tea tax and get on with it. I think the tavern keeper would be happy and thankful to pay the tea tax because like I said before she states, “we should be thankful for that English tea!” I infer the tavern keeper chose the side of the Loyalists because she just wanted the English to leave them alone. I know this because on page 15 it says, “plotting with the suns of liberty.” The midwife also states, “A TINY PATRIOT!” The midwife does not like to pay taxes. She praises, “A TINY PATRIOT!” To add on to that the midwife thinks it is unfair to pay colonial taxes and to pay British taxes. I can infer that the midwife chose to be a Partriot because she wanted to be against takes, she doesn’t like paying for them. That is why I think that the midwife is a Patriot.

The people inside seen interested inside seem to like the stuff and I think that the people inside are loyalists.
I think that the milliner picked loyalist because they are going to have a tea party. Another reason whi I think this is because they respect King George The ||| and respect the tea tax.

I think this is a reason why she is a patriot because if the boy was a loyalist then she would probably not allow him to come in because they were at war. I do not think the midwife agreed with tea tax. she did not show a lot of emotion about it because she knew if she said something she could get in trouble. also because as I said before she was a patriot and none of the patriots wanted to pay the tea tax.
