Our goal is to teach underprivileged children cricket as the cricket kit costs around 2000-3000 or above and it is very difficult for those children to buy those kits so they can't play their favorite sport like cricket so we are going to teach them cricket thrice a week and at the end we are going to have a match between them to check their improvements.

We chose this particular issue because cricket is one of the most popular sport in India and more than 5 crore and 46 lakh people want to play cricket but many of these people can't afford the cricket kit.

The SDG we have chosen is Quality education. This means we are not going to teach them any subject like Math or English. We are going to give them education on cricket and this is how there is some connection between our SDG and the community project we are doing.

So the reaserch we are going to do is that we have talked to our parents on getting some 1 to 2 nets on rent for 4 to 5 days and we are also going to contact some of our family groups for some funding as we need it for buying tennis kits and to pay for the nets.

A tree plantation campaign in which we will have a target to plant 10,000 trees and we can plant more later. This campaign is not only addressing a particular community but every type of community and each person in this world. This goal is helping in nature which addresses each person. The SDG goal is also final for this is goal number 15 which is life on land. We have already researched about this and have gotten an NGO that we cam serve and empathise with by interviewing them. The NGO is named Mangalam Seva trust who are even ready to provide us money for this project. We have seen a lot of people do these types of campaigns and have now decided to do it ourselves. We just need to think about where to plant these. The name of our mission and team will be GreenRoots Campaigning and Awareness team. Our plan is to go to different institutes, NGOs and organisations and educate people about the main problem (Climate Change, Tree Plantation). After addressing the issue, we would state our plan for the tree plantation. We would like them to help us and support in planting the trees. We would also like to know them so that we are also able to embrace our and their communication skills too. We will conduct activities that would engage people to learn about the topic more. To spread more awareness, we will create interesting posters and try to put them around my society.

These animals will be able to get out the harsh circumstances they encounter on the streets by looking for sanctuary in this shelter.

I deeply empathise with the goal because of my strong care for animals. It pains me to see animals without homes, struggling to survive in such harsh conditions.

My prior knowledge for this project stems from my extensive research on animals and my experience as the Environmental Secretary in grade 5, which has given me a deep understanding of animal suffering.

Our goal is to empower preteens and teens of the under privileged community to speak up and express their emotions freely, accounting our experiences with anxiety in the past.

Both of us have had severe experiences with anxiety, especially in our preteens and currently, too. We understand what it is like to not be able to understand your feelings or triggers, and let it lead to a point where ever small thing makes you panic. Although, we have no idea about what there issues or problems may be, which is why this also doubles as a way for us to know the ages in our community.

The SDGs that are relevant to are project are 3,5,16 which are Good Health and Well Being, Gender Equality, Peace Justice and Strong Institutions. The most relevant is of course is good health and well being, as we are trying help the children maintain their mental health and how they manage their emotions. The rest are about subtopics we are picking up, such as awareness about the menstrual cycle, working women, and males who express their emotions. We want their to be equality, as well as justice in the process of the same.

In terms of research, we are planning to get at least 7 interviews from counsellors and those with knowledge about mental wellbeing. This is in fact already in motion since we have teachers in school with similar knowledge and we have started taking interviews already. Next, which we have already begun to do as well, is to read and understand case studies as well as research projects which are similar to ours. This will give us a better understanding of what we are planning to do, and what we want to continue with. Lastly, we want to consult with specialists who teach or guide this children, to understand what would be the best way to go about it. And then, we start our project!

1) Our project's core relies on football and fitness. In our project, we will teach them basic football skills such as passing, dribbling and shooting. When it comes to fitness, we will teach them some drills and exercises to help with their agility, speed etc. I feel like this is a great idea as it will help develop a kid's fitness levels while helping them get better at football alongside. We have researched and concluded that most underprivileged schools don't have the equipment to play any sport let alone football. We expect this project to continue even after our CP gets finished and we will make this project really productive and interesting as well.

2.) I think our goal is really good and achievable as we are doing a really good deed by giving children a chance to show of their skills and do proper training to have competition in the school. Our vision is to go to a school which is medium class and which has a football pitch and I want us to train them and teach them about tactics and all and I want to see them in a tournament against our school one day that is my ultimate goal for this project.

3.) The sdgs we connect to are gender equality as we will also teach girls. And health and well being as we are doing fitness and football.

4.) We will divide our selves into teams of 2 and research about diffrent area's of our project that will make the work faster and we can do it easily.

Defining the Goal-

The primary goal is to reduce plastic waste in a specific area to protect stray animals such as dogs and cats from ingesting harmful plastics. This aligns with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 15: Life on Land, which aims to protect, restore, and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems and halt biodiversity loss.

Empathizing with the Goal

Empathy plays a crucial role in understanding the impact of plastic waste on stray animals. Stray dogs and cats often scavenge through garbage for food, accendentaly consuming plastic waste. This can lead to severe health issues, including choking, intestinal blockages, and even death. By empathizing with these animals, we can better appreciate the urgency of addressing this problem. Observing the suffering of these animals and understanding their sadness, motivates us to take action to improve their living conditions.

Prior Learning and Subject-Specific Knowledge

Environmental Science: Understanding the decomposition process of plastics and their long-term impact on the environment.

Community Health: Insights into how waste management practices affect public health and animal welfare.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Familiarity with SDG 15, which focuses on life on land, including the protection of terrestrial ecosystems and biodiversity.

Research Skills Demonstration

To effectively address this issue, thorough research is essential. Here are the steps to demonstrate research skills:

Literature Review: Will conduct a comprehensive review of existing studies on the impact of plastic waste on stray animals.

Data Collection: We will gather data on the specific area affected by plastic waste. This can involve surveys, interviews with local residents, and observations of the waste accumulation and its impact on stray animals.

Case Studies: We waill analyze successful waste management initiatives from other communities. Understanding what has worked elsewhere can provide valuable insights and strategies that can be adapted to the local context.

Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with local authorities, environmental NGOs, and community members to gather diverse perspectives and support for the project. Collaboration with these stakeholders can enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of the initiative.

Action Plan Development: Based on the research findings, develop a detailed action plan. This plan should include specific steps for waste reduction, community education, and measures to protect stray animals. It should also outline the roles and responsibilities of different stakeholders.

By Yatharth Chaudhary, Aaran Singh, Vajrmaan, Aviraj Singh

Many people want to be in on the next big thing so they overlook important problems which require little innovation. That is the main reason for our project Trubbish (truly rubbish) our slogan being ,"somebody's gotta do it". This idea is amazing as no one is doing it due to them wanting to do something innovative thus making this project innovative. What is our project you may ask, well it is to help renew and cleanse old societies by removing gunk and junk to improve the lifestyle of the society members. Our project connects to 2 SDG goals, the first is "life on land", and the second is ,"sustainable communities and cities".

Life On Land

Our goal is to build a safer and more eco friendly environment for pets and city wildlife. This project will restore many areas which would have had hazardous material such as plastic or glass and will remove any gunk or pests as well. This will also help in increasing animal mortality rates.

Sustainable Communities And Cities

Our project also helps to sustainably renovate old societies to the best of our abilities. This might also motivate community members to begin experiencing the their community parks to the fullest.
