In the poem, Danny Deever, Files-on-Parade cares so much about Danny Deever and how he died while the Colour-Sergeant could care less that he died. "For 'e shot a comrade sleepin'--you must look 'im in the face" In Death of a Salesman, Willy is always worried about everyone just like how Files-on-Parade is worried about Danny Deever and what had happened to him. "What's that that whimpers over'ead?' said Files-on-Parade". This quote is talking about how Files-on-Parade is worried.

Literary Devices

In Danny Deever there are many literary devices used and foreshadowing is used at the very beginning of the play. "For they're hangin' Danny Deever, you can hear the Dead March play". This is foreshadowing that they will hang Danny Deever for what he has done. Imagery is also used in this poem, "While they're hangin' Danny Deever in the mornin'. This is a pretty gruesome image that he displays.
