a sister and the wife of Zeus. She's the goddess of marriage, women, family and the protector of women during childbirth. She is the daugher of Cronus and Rhea. She's the queen of the twelve Olympians and the Mount Olympus, where she lives with her husband and her children. Her and Zeus had three children - Ares, the god of war, Hebe, the goddess of youth and Hephaestus, the god of blacksmiths. Originally, she did not agree to marry Zeus, but he tricked her into marriage by turning into a disheveled cuckoo, that Hera felt sorry for and immediately took him in. She is often shown holding a pomegranate as the symbol of immortality. Some of her sacred animals are cuckoos, peacocks and cows. When she gets angry, she's able to turn people into monsters and animals.

He is a father of horses he can change a form of his body (he can be a horse or lion etc.) He is one of the Big Three - trio of the most powerful Greek gods. He lives in a big palace under the water in an ocean. He is the father of the Percy Jackson in the book.

He supports the initiation of any war at any time. He doesn't like negotiations. He's a skilled warrior, but he is not loyal to just one side. He's not invincible, he's lost in a few battles. Ares isn’t popular with humans or gods, however, he was quite a handsome man who attracted women with his military statur - eeven the goddess of love, Aphrodite, was in love with him.

He also has a twin sister named Artemis who is the goddess of hunt and more. Apollo is a patron of Delphi and the god of oracles (the prophetic deity) and he is a god who provides help and wards off evil and that’s why he’s sometimes called “the averter of evil”. That’s what makes him the god of oracles but he is also the god of sunlight, archery, music and arts, healing, knowledge, herds and flocks, and even protection of the young.

Klára: Hi, my idea is, that our weapon could be a hammer (how suprising :). Our coat of arms could be for example a fire with a hammer, or something else blacksmiths need, in it. Hephaestus and Ares are sons Zeus and Hera. Hephaestus was ugly and weak, that was why he was overthrow off Olympus. Then he came back, because he made beautiful necklace for goddess. He was very handy. Then he was overthrow again. Sometimes the other gods made fun of him, because he limped. His wife Aphrodite was cheating him with Ares.
Hephaestus was god of fire and smithery. He was making his blacksmith's products under the biggest vulcano in Europe. Hephaestus built important buildings or made armours and weapons for some other gods. His characteristic feature are hammer, pincers and anvil.
