This technology has shaped cell phones and even the creation of internet. Before the creation, people relied on candles and oil lamps. They are not the brightest source of light and do not last long hours. Those working in factories or buildings could only work day shifts because it was too dark to work at night. In the article, "The History of the Light Bulb" it states, "The light bulb helped to establish social order after sundown, extended the workday well into the night, and allowed us to navigate and travel safely in the dark. Without the light bulb, there would be no nightlife"(Bermudez, 2020, para. 1). With this innovation, people are able to work during all times of day and do not have to worry about changing a bulb any time soon. In the article, "Women's Suffrage" it states, "...the Declaration of Sentiments that the delegates produced, 'that all men and women are created equal...'"(History, 2020, para. 8). Women refused to support the 15th amendment and still wanted something to be done. They continued the fight for their rights and they were finally given them. They passed the 19th amendment which allowed women to vote. Women's Suffrage has opened up many job opportunities, fairer wages, education, and even birth control. These people worked hard and wanted to improve their lives. Today we are impacted because men and women are a lot more equal then they were in the past.
