Today was the second day of camp. We visited in Putrajaya city. It was a typical and planned administration city. Also i heard it was the model of Shaejong city in Korea. I saw the ancient and present of Malayisia through Seri Gemilang bridge. Though the bridge was built in 21th, the type of bridge including Pink mosque seemed like ancient architecture. Present and Ancient were molded into harmonious one world. After Official event ended, we went iOiCiTY Sopping Mal. All of students had a good time. But some of students didn’t keep the rule and behind the schedule. Maybe the reason for late was the huge Sopping Mall seemed to have a labyrinth. Next time, I hope that all of student must keep the rule.

It was a second day that we went to Putrajaya which is the federal administrative centre of Malaysia. I was honored to meet Mr. Hasim Ismail who is the general director of Putrajaya. There was a few landscapes we visited. We took pictures with Korean and Malaysian friends. And got to the IOI city shopping mall to have lunch and go shopping. Some of us lost their way back to the bus. Fortunately they came back safely. It was a long day but amazing.

Today, we didn’t go outside instead studied in resort. Main teacher was Ms Lee. She looked like smart woman. Today topic was “to know Malayisia”. I knew that Malayisia consist of largely three nations - malayi, Chinese and India etc. The first use language is Malayisia , second is English .....
There were ready to three booths which represented three tribes- tamil, india and china.
Among them, I was interested in India booth. Especially Kolam(under picture) was fascinated me. It was made of collarful rice. Apparently it’s meaning was prayed for family’s longevity and prosperity. But underneath meaning was that downward triangle is woman, upperward triangle is man, circle is nature and square is culture. It was awesome that this small thing has universal truth. Today l knew a lots of knowledge of Malayisia. Now l am very happy and expect tomorrow.

The day before yesterday night there was a little turmoil in our camp. Maybe teacher Lee got lose temper and gave some students to caution. Because of this warning , yesterday night was relatively calm and peaceful. Today morning everything was start with smoothly. We went toward Komuniti Jelebu to take experience of Malayisia ‘s traditional dance, game and food. It took 1.5 hour from Dickson Port to Jelebu. On arriving in Jelebu Politec, we received a big welcome. Everyone gave a kind and lovely smile. I thank this reason for popularity mainly came from K-pop or dramas. It was fortunate for us to take free-rider. Dance was a little bit simple but gentle to partner. Food was a little salty. Tea was a little sweet and plain. Game was awfully as similar as our nation’s. We used to play in childhood. I learned traditional instrument of Malayisia. It was called to Kompang. It was a small and handy drum. It looked like a tambourine. I practiced very hard. In means while I noticed different something. Sound plate was made of Xray-film. It was weird to me. Anyway i enjoyed everything. Today was amazing to me. Thanks God!

Yesterday We learned about the languages and festivals in Malaysia. There are Malay language(Bahasa Malaysia), English and Mandarin spoken in Malaysia. “ Selamat Pagi “ in Bahasa Malaysia means “Good Morning.” I’ve got to know “Selamat” means “Good.” In addition, there are a few festivals representing in Malaysia. First one is called Hari Raya Aidilfitri which is a Muslim festival. Second one is Chinese New Year similar to Korean New Year. Third one is Deepavali which is the festival of light following the hindu calendar. Forth one is Hara gari which is the festival of a lot of tribes in Malaysia.
There are 4 booths in the Roosa 4 in the resort. We had fun at each booth. I’d appreciate all of efforts from students from each booth.

Today we went to Kokojel 1 hour and an half by bus from PDGC. We’ve got warm welcome from students and teachers. I kind of got touched. We’ve learned how to play Malaysian musical instruments from the students. They are very kind and naive. And we enjoyed the food and durians. After that we had lunch with right hand in local way. There were traditional games we played with local students together. I am thankful to all of warm welcoming from the people in KoKojel. It was quite tough but amazing day.

Today I toured Melaka city. The buildings and the church were magnificent and the scenery was beautiful, but it was so hot that the skin was much damaged. The landscapes and buildings in my eyes today will never be forgotten.

Today is TGIF and visit to Melaka of Malayisia’ historical city. Another trip started from Port Dickson to Melaka. Melaka was designated into World Heritage City on 7th July 2008 by UNESCO. It took 1.5 hour similar to Jelebu distance. It was much higher than yesterday’s temperature. And more sultry. Today missions were ;
First, devided all student into 8teams
Second, each team found two Melaka attractions and then every students took part in and turned to explain the history or background of the chosen places.
Third, simultaneously each team taped each episode and submitted to the teacher.
Our team2 ended mission properly and safely.
After that we had lunch at korean restaurant. We ate dak galbi with alcohol. Also were shopping. And then we went to Night Maket - JONKER WALK. Actually, Night maket has usually opened after 6 pm. But we came there 2 pm and it was the hottest time in a day. Almost stores were closed. In street there were only alive hottest vapor and sticky. But the most impressive thing was a history of Maleca seashore. In 1405, the General CHENG HO of MING Dynasty took a military expedition to here. He was a Muslim. And he governed very well. That those day’s people praised him. They set up a monument for him. Anyway times passed away. Someday the end of this camp will come suddenly.

The cathedral was wonderful and the team spirit was interesting. It was still hot. ㅠㅠ
And lunch for Korean food!

On Wednesday, my school schedule was cancelled, so I gave a lecture in the hotel room.

Today is Saturday. It has been ten days since i left home. I missed badly my home. Also my son ended military service for 23months. Early in the morning we were busy sending regards to each other. By nature, Saturday was a holiday in korea from 1th July 2002. For a long time i used to that habits, i did not well to formal event. Actually i got irritated because i was a little tired. After 1.5 hour passed away, we arrived at Star Flesh Farm. It was a huge leisure town. We were taught many kind of fruits, plant, hubs and bees. Especially the host of farm gave a piece of fruit. Its color was purple and taste was a little bit sour. It was called mulberry. Ironically, our nation had a same plant. It was called “Audi” and had special effects on diabetes. After taking look around the farm, we painted a flower. Mine was below the level but some students’s were excellent. Having lunch, it started to boring. Suddenly, As it began to raining, we changed plan and took back to the resort. On the way of backing shelter we dropped by Camp Dickson beach. There has been opening of Night Market. And open sea waited us and gave a great landscape. Soaking my feet, i would like to send my wish to my hometown. In any way, my homesick grew thick incrementalistically. Tonight i have to no choice but to drink. Zzzzzzz!

Today was too hot.
We went to the farm and saw a snake, and a fruit called Star Fruit. But since it was raining, I could not collect it myself.
On my way back, I went to the night market at a very hot moment after the rain.
I liked to have drinks and snacks, but I was so tired.ㅠㅠ
Also, I did not sign yesterday, so I took a humiliating shot.
ㅠㅠ... I have no schedule tomorrow, so I should take a rest! ㅠ

Yesterday we visited to Melaka, historical city in Malaysia. We went to Christ Church built by Dutch colonial and did team mission by every team member. It was so hot out there that we were soaked. There was another mission at the St. Paul’s hill. Melaka is so exotic that I could see the Malaysia.

We went to the Starfresh Argo Park yesterday. There is a farm with some trees of fruits. Unfortunately it was raining over there so we were not able to pick fruits from the trees outside. We just spent painting for about an hour inside. And then we had lunch there and moved back to Port Dickson. In the meanwhile we did go shopping for a while and just visited to a night market around the Port Dickson Beach which is beautiful It was quite exciting to looking around the night market. If we stayed at the late night it could be much fun.

I thought I might sleep late on Sunday, but after eating early, my roommate left the pool alone and came back to practice together. Yesterday i was expecting tomorrow English lesson because until now i thought it was a kind of warming up. The expecting day opened in Port Dickson Politect. But i learned “good morning, good afternoon, my name....., came from.... etc. In korea, its lesson was taught in kindergarten. So i was disappointed with that lesson. The reason for coming to here was improvement of my English ability. Maybe tomorrow lecture will be “good evening, good night.... etc”. I have no idea what to do. “No more comments!”

Yesterday, we had a class at DEWAN WASAN, where we worked as a team to make posters explaining Malaysian culture, food, events.
Our group has five members, each of whom decided to paint one by one, whether it was memorable, impressive place, or food, and to look at the picture and give an explanation.
I finished the poster and took the time to explain and question the students here. It was difficult and difficult, but I tried to do it while enjoying it.

Today, we have classes in different groups. I received a mission to take classes with the first graders in local universities, not the auditorium!

Yesterday we had a class about poster pesentation. It helped us to present the story about what is so impressive in Malaysia so far. We gathered in a group and drew the memorable occasion by each group member. After lunch, we were prepared to give a presentation to the students out therwith a poster on the wall. Yesterday, our mission was poster presentation and today’s slot was practice pronunciation and NIE. Yesterday’ mission team was dismissed. Team4 students were separated into practicing pronunciation and taking part in class. The role of team was changed by times- am and pm. I went to the practice pronunciation class. In that class, I learned British intonation. But i have been studied English in American style for a long time. So British pronunciation was awkward to me. But talented teacher led us to joyful world. She had a wonderful ability of humorous teaching. We ended class successfully. And then, we had a lunch and took a free tim till 2:00 pm. After ending of loose time, we started to another lesson. It was a NIE study. The NIE is an abbreviation of Newspaper In Education. I heard it was a good means of improving English. We set up a team. Member was four. We searched for team name in past newspapers. We chose “Stand Together”. We selected three motos and meticulously read newspapers for relating articles of motos. Finally we adopted three motos: first, Racial discrimination, Religion discrimination, Sex discrimination. Also we found some relating articles in newspapers and cut it out. In just one hour we completed work. I gave a thanks to our team members for cooperation. The reason for selecting team name and motos was as follows : Today, all of world was spreaded sex, racial and religion discrimination. Though it have been a global issues for a long time, we often turned away from those topics. It was a shameful and coward activity. Now we all “Stand Together “against it. Today I learned many meaningful things: Humility and Respect to others.

Today is Game Day!
In the morning, we had a traditional and English joint game.I would like to thank my teachers for preparing me to learn English naturally through games instead of taking it hard!
Because I didn't give up, I passed 10 games safely thanks to my brothers and sisters! I'm glad I did something without knowing! A shot of victory to celebrate! K!!!!!!

Today was a special day. Open game and sports day! Sometimes exercise gave us refreshments. During Am , we played various games. These were English games that consisted of grammar, sentence, listening and words sector. It were a kind of combining games with study. All of games were simple and plain, so almost students passed through eight out of ten. But there were some difficulties in two gates. There was no exception to me. First gate was a little difficult to me because it need some concentration and control of power. I barely passed through it. Difficult second gate was listening. It was a guess of facilitator’ lips movement in speaking English words. It needed a little bit degree of difficulty. Anyway I completed all missions. After missions, we had a lunch time. Afternoon games was up. The games were familiar with us. It were held in elementary school on autumn in korea. It seemed likely that all of students went back to the old days. We all were drenched with games enthusiastically. Today i looked back to the child’s mind. I missed my old friends.

I and some of us participated in a class with Malaysian students. We were separatedly divded by each group and learned greetings in English among Malaysia students. Some students in our group are very cute and naive. They asked about Korean culture, K-pop and some famous idol group. It seemed like connection with each other from sharing about Korea.

We took a part in language carnival in the hotel. There were 10 sessions we have to pass. If all of memebers at the same group pass, they will be a winner. It was my first time I to do this kind of activities. It was quite exciting and fun. Most of us were enjoying them. The hardest one to pass was hanging the ring to the hanger in the wall within three times throwing. The chance was given to answer the past tense or past participle you chosen by the ring. If we don’t hang the ring up within three times throws, we have to move back into a line again. After lunch, we did 5 games in a row. Unfortunately we couldn’t win even one game, but it was fun.

It's cloudy today, but it didn't rain. At 10 in the morning, I took a bus to the school gym and had a good time with Malaysian students and conversation classes. But I don't understand what they're saying, and I get upset, and I get angry, and I get mixed emotions. When I take an English class in Korea, I study vocabulary, grammar, reading, and conversation in order. When I came to Malaysia after studying in order, I could not answer the question right away. I don't like the English policy of Korea very much. Of course, I am lazy but I came here after focusing on Employment, results English.

Ah! Times flies like an arrow and I can’t believe that almost two weeks already gone by. Seeing airplane to flying over our resort drove me into homesick. Same time as usual, we arrived in Politecnik by bus. The students were waiting us in dividing into several units. We scattered into units where we liked to go. Our team’ member was ten. The half of members were Politecnik students. We were given to mission. The mission was how to alive on an isolated desert island. And given conditions were that a pregnant woman, a baby, a dying old man and a billionaire were with us. And before we started, one item we picked was a flashlight. We all discussed how to be rescued. But given conditions were the worst to us. After discussing we concluded that we assumed only a billionaire had healthy and in the night, he standed guard with watching the sky, he continuously sent a rescue signal SOS by a flashlight. That’ all. The solution was a little bit equivocal. Anyway we ended a mission. And then we took part in the classroom instructions of professor Ming. The class was a vivid and dynamic field. The students took a their role proactively. Its educational methods really need to our college. Because the lecture was essential to need in on-the-job. But our college still taught grammar and reading comprehension. I thought that many of Politek in Korea had same problem. Its education ststem was much too detached from the job fields. Our college rapidly introduced its efficiency system into our college. Thanks professor Ming and students to inviting us to their class. In afternoon, we played various games. I played a scramble game with two Politecnik students. I won.
I felt that our student had not any more foreigner phobia in speaking English. I thought it was the most important output thing in participating camp.

Friday, we were going to Kuala Lumpur of Malayisia’ capital. On the way of visiting in Kuala Lumpur, we dropped by a new Palace of King. It was a beautiful and shinny architecture. I was taken photo with the guard of Royal. After looking on, we went straight to KL. In bus, a kind teacher told us that the polity and Sultan traditions of Malayisia. The present prime minister was Mahathir. He was elected the second by General Election. Astonishingly his age was 93. May be he kept his health good. I knew he was Dr. and kept big ego. In 1997, the currency crisis swept over East Asia. He strongly refused IMF’s aid. Eventually he overcomed the crisis without IMF’ aid. He must be a tenacious and respectful man. In Malayisia, there were nine Sultan, they occupied King position for 5 years. Totally tenet circulation was required for 45 years. Once more to get into King’ Position, they mut have a longevity. In Malayisia, the king’ language is different from ordinary people. They must be born in the purple. But I thought really important was not birth but deed. Anyway we arrived in KL. We went Cental Market and i bought some owls. Sooner or later, we came to Petronas Twin Towers. There were many of people from the World. Klcc ‘ height is 451.9m. It was the tallest building in the world from 1998 to 2004. Its height record was deprived of Taipei’ 101building. Tower1, the west tower was built by Japanese consortium. Tower 2, the east building was built by Korean consortium led by Samsung. Maybe the Malayisian were very proud of that building in symbol of economic development. We were taken many pictures. I heard that there were two capitals in Malayisia : that was normally capital Kuala Lumpur, administrative capital was Putrajaya. I thought the real capital was Kuala Lumpur. With regard to some of environmental factors, KL surpassed Putrajaya. After viewing around Klcc, I and co-student, Kim Tae Hyun searched for Beer House together. Fortunately we found a restaurant in KLcc. We drank a little draft beers. During return to the resort, i was very tired and fell asleep. Unconsciously i arrived in my house(?). I really enjoyed today.

Today I had a tour of the Seremban. I watched the wonderful scenery at the Chinese temple and took many pictures. And I was impressed by the museum. After I arrived at the hotel, I went to workout and studied machine maintenance, a certification test this month.

If i were in korea this time, i was going to play a soccer. It has been 16 years since I started a soccer. I thought I made a strong body through the soccer. Instead of playing a soccer, i went to Seremban city. The teacher told us its population was over four hundred thousand peoples. In Malayisia, there were a lot of cities like Seremban’ size. We came to a Buddhist temple called “ToKong Then Sze”. Its temple’ characters was a little ambiguous. There were many gods that mixed both Buddhist and Taoism. Among them I knew that long time ago i had read novels which was “ The Records of the three Kingdoms” and “The Journey to the West (Xi You Ji)”. After seeing around, we went to another place. Its was a Seremban’s Museum. Contrary to my expectations, Museum was small and simple. There were few a relics but only king’s families and men’s stories. May be I thought Malayisia relatively had a short history. Beganwe moved to the central of Seremban city. We came to a shopping mall. I searched for restaurant and i found a kind of restaurant. I ordered a food to looked like delicious. Its name was “Tomyam rice noodle”. But i was surprised at its taste. It was hot and strong spicy. Barely i ate half. I realized that experience and information were very important in life.

Yesterday I went to a mountain temple! On a hot day, I went up the street complaining about walking up but the view I looked down from above and saw through the sun was so nice.
I came down from there, had lunch, went to the shopping mall, and came back to my lodging. It is still very difficult after I pulled off the KL tour.
I should get some rest and get ready for Monday.

2nd of August, 2018.
There were 2 activies in the school. The first one was the misson to discuss how to survive on a deserted island with someone else. We were divided 10 people into a group with 5 local students. The second one was an acting with fairy tale we changed the ending story. It was kind of fun. After lunch, we did some games in the auditorium and played softball with local students. The softball was so similar to the baseball that we were able to play softball well. It was really fun. Because I hit the inside park home run in the first inning. I could remember that moment in my entire life.

We spent all day in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. There is very crowded place with a lot of skyscrapers in KL. We visited some famous places and took some pictures. If I have a chance to visit to Malaysia, I might be in Kuala Lumpur.

At last, The last weekend of English Camp began today. At around midnight, there were the thunder and lightening with a heavy rain. But in the morning, it became a fine weather. Some of students waited us in the auditorium. They showed us Malayisia’ traditional dance. The dance was rhythmical and swift movement. It seemed to be flame’ movement. Today’s our missions were that after we were watching advertisements and in the middle of it, teacher suddenly stopped film, and then we predicted how ads would be developed. We separated into 8teams. I was belonged to Team 6. Our team’s study was a little bit difficult. A good idea seldom came up. At the end of debating, we reached an awkward conclusion. After having lunch, we practiced role playing to our team’ prediction. And we completed our mission under some uneasiness. The most regrettable things shown in the class were an unproper time allocation, students’ passive attitudes and small numbers of leading teachers really made us bored. In my eyes, it seemed that the class atmosphere was loose and untidy. In addition to that, Students were fed up with class. Why?

Now, I almost used up my money and household items which I brought in Korea. The time was up to go home. At dawn, it was a great weather which the thunder and lightning with heavy raged for roughly three hours. But in the morning, mysteriously it became calm. If it were the same situation in Kroea, it would be a blessing because of scorching heat. I thought that today’ slot would be a regular and last class. In the morning class, we were divided into 8teams. Its activities were to solve the puzzles and continuously finding out places where directed by another puzzle. It were finished at eight stages. It were similar to Orienteering game. I was belonged to Team2. We were exploring to find out the treasure in the Politecnik. In every stages, the facilitator as students greeted us kindly. In time we finished our missions. Saddly we got the 6rank. But our team did our best. In afternoon class, its activity was “sing your heart out”. We had to choose a pop-song and perform singing and dance. Much of considering, we chose “Yesterday” among the Beatles’ song. Fortunately, our members knew the rhythm but had a vague memory of its lyrics. We only listened rhythm and separately practiced lyrics. The contest was opened. Another teams’ preparations were good. Our team’s goal was to avoid the tail. But the surprising thing happened. We won the first prize. It’s awesome! We are the world. In this way, Today was come to an end by the times.

A long journey was about to be pulled down a curtain. This daily journal report might be last report. Many of memories and experiences flashed before my eyes. This camp’ programs gave me another world. Though i was old, i was still young at heart. I should worked hard until i run out my energy. But I don’t know the time of quit. And from now i will study English very hard continuously though I stopped it for a long time. Anyway today we were going to hiking Tanjung Tuan. Ma’am Ming and Azi... gave us a lot of cautious and scare. And ordered “No picking, No smoking, No shouting etc. After listening, i was frightened to hiking. I was fully ready for it. Finally we arrived at Tanjung Taun. Much of Big trees made me excited. I thought the tracking road was a long distance and seemed likely to be a jungle. But i was disappointed with short distance and no dangers. The students who wanted to more having hiking kept going on. The other students went down. The ones kept going on hiking with guides. We went down the lane of hill. It was some steep and narrow. In a few minutes, we reached an ocean whether it was the Indian Ocean or the Pacific Ocean. Its horizon was endless and unobstructed. But there were many of trashes. Especially plastic trashes was a big problems all over the world in today. We must keep a great property left safe with together. The formal journey almost seemed to be ended. The huge natural resources, kind and industrious people, studious young students and erudite teachers certainly made Malayisia to prosperious nation. In the end, let me take this opportunity to appreciate all those teachers and students participating this camp. God bless them. Both Korea Politec and Malayisia Politecnik ‘s friendship Forever! We went to Seremban about 30 minutes away from Port Dickson. There’s a temple named Then Sze Koon. We went up there and took some pictures. The temple has just like the way of chinese traditions. After that, ee went to Lembaga Muzium Negeri Sembilan. It has the history of Malaysia and the traditional place over there. It was quite interesting place.

The last Monday in Malaysia finally came. Time’s gone so faster than I feel. We have the class of What is the end which we discuss the end of the video and make the full story after seeing the funny short video. With those story, we did action on the stage in the hall. It was quite fun.

We participated in class with sing your heart out. Our group chose the sone titled with Step by Step sung by New Kids On The Block. Actually this song is quite old as I remembered. Maybe it was very popular in 1990’s. We praticed that song and dancing. It was quite embarrassing to us because of the dance. But it was quite exciting.

Yesterday, I went hiking, a stuffed museum, and a nearby beach.
The place where I went to climb the mountain was covered with strange powder from the entrance and the atmosphere was bad! So let's move on.
And I went to the Museum of stuffed animals, and it was amazing to see that the fur was alive. It was a little scary, but it was fun!

We went to Tanjung Tuan for hiking. Tanjung Tuan is very spiritual place so I felt like giving some respect to out there. It took 30 minitues up to the top. Some of us went to the beach by walking. It was quite tough but it’s fun to me.

9th of August, 2018
It was the last day of summer camp today. I was practicing the Malaysian traditional musical instrument in a group. Our group were enthusiastically practicing playing repeatedly all day long for the performance in the evening. So we successfully did performance given big claps from the audience. In addition, other groups gave some incredible performance. Everybody really enjoyed the farewell dinner. It would be one of the memorable moments in my entire life.
