I recall this was updated in '22. Is it needed to updated it already? Shouldn't we wait until the discharge guidance (finally) gets published? Or do we think that's not going to happen. Feel there are things in the draft discharge policy, like the focus on carers that would be important to draw into the HICM. So would be good to hear what the discharge guidance says on that (if it ever comes out)

What advice would you provide to encourage systems to use the model to shape intermediate care rather than a paper filling exercise as a mandatory requirement.

How explicit is the model now on scoring e.g. if 7 day working in certain key areas isn't feasible or if certain legislation creates certain barriers/challenges - how prescriptive is it meant to be?

Need to embed support to carers and involving carers into MDTs, and in early discharge planning, and managing expectations as a key bit of good practice. Having it as a part of all changes might not give it the right focus, but it does need that as a minimum
