Please share your take aways from this experience. Please keep in mind these three questions when responding:

1. What evidence was seen that intellectual rigor was present?

2. Was student creativity present and how was it evident?

3. How did technology support student engagement and learning?

The students really enjoy technology and are extremely engaged. They really know how to manipulate it.

Intellectual rigor was definitely present in both lessons.

Students had to evaluate a teacher project, plan their own, video record their project, and share with the class to teach. Students also had to synthesize the information they've learned about the American Revolution to create a pic collage about the letter they were assigned. They had prior knowledge and access to multiple resources - print and digital.

Students were ACTIVELY engaged in learning during the entire observation, some students were engaged in collaboration. Both lessons were high rigor, high engagement...which leads to high student learning. Awesome job, ladies!

The rubric was very helpful especially how they graded Mangano's video. The children were able to justify why they gave her a certain grade. I absolutely loved the ABCs of the revolutionary war! I am going to steal that wonderful idea for next week! The children are doing a wonderful job with Pic Collage!
