         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><strong>Theory</strong></li></ul><div>The social learning theory by Skinner and Watson says that reinforcement is what impacts behavior. For example negative reinforcement like spanking will work for the time being while praise and reward will cause the behavior to continue. Instead the goal is to get children to be intrinsically motivated, in that they want to do the right thing because it is what they want versus the end goal of the behavior being praise or reward. </div><ul><li><strong>Example: </strong></li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>During free choice time there were two students at the doll station and they both wanted to play with the same doll because it was smaller. In my past experiences, the children would fight over who got to play with the doll and it would usually end in the tears and the teacher getting involved. However, in this scenario the children both stared at each other and then mutually decided to play with other dolls. To me, this demonstrates that the children were really well developed, socially and emotionally, in order to handle that situation in a way that fair to both parities. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><strong>Conclusions: </strong>Ab is seemingly exploring how to play with dolls. I thought that it was very interesting that he immediately went into the doll station after recess because dolls are typically a “girly” activity. This was an example of child-directed associative play for the first few minutes because Ab and the girl were playing parallel but they were engaging and talking to one another. Then the children began cooperative and fantasy play where they were collaborating and deciding how to best care for these </li></ol>]]></description>
