This 8 part agreement that does not allow students to pay their tuition, view their courses, or put in the time sheets of work already done so they can get paid is the most ridiculous piece of legal maneuvering that I have seen the University do in my time here. Not clicking on this coerced acceptance is keeping students who have had the privilege to keep their job during COVID from getting the pay that they have already earned. This income is paramount especially as we approach the start of the semester when tuition is due. My employer has agreed to fill out our time sheets while we fight for this.  I for one refuse to click on this agreement. Students are quickly figuring out ways to avoid doing so while continuing to go about our livelihood and access the information necessary for our success. I do not agree to stop fighting for a tuition decrease or acknowledge that I may contract COVID from the University's negligence reopening aspects of campus. I will not agree to these statements to have my answer used against me once something goes wrong.

However, the confirmation at the bottom is only to "acknowledge receiving this information," which renders the second paragraph moot. There's a legal distinction between "understand" and "acknowledge," which the confirmation structure fails to affirm.

I'm dismayed at how the U handled this COVID situation. Delaying move in at the last minute is a scummy move. Then they have to make things worse by having us click an annoying pop up on MyU in regards to them still charging us whatever they want. I "love" how Gabel said there wouldn't be any financial consequences. Think again. She, the Board of Regents, and the U in general are the only ones benefiting from all of this. Meanwhile, the rest of us are going to be financially burdened or even more in debt. It's evident that they don't even have our best interests in mind. I'm upset that my 33k tuition is going to be wasted.

This is not the same at all. In fact, for me it is worse. I live in North Mpls. and the violence is increasing a couple of hours ago, there were gunshoots only a couple of houses from me. 

I shouldn't have to pay all of the fees and regular tuition in order to stay were I am. In fact, maybe they should be paying me. Or helping low income student get housing. Like, maybe in all those rooms and apartments we can't afford to sublease. That is where the tuition I am paying to stay home should go to.
