We say that "5x5=25", the mathematical knowledge is that the number 5, multiplied by itself is equal to the number 25, the knowledge and the fact has been discovered, i.e. it could be used in a calculation. However, another civilization could use different methods of demonstrating this same knowledge. For example, they could say that smeven fabricated is fiveyty. Although this would mean nothing to our civilization, it would model the same exact thing as 5x5=25. There are two different methods which have been invented, however they model the same discovered mathematical knowledge.
- Sam
