My mom had a chest of photo albums and I have files on an external hard drive. I use technology to stay connected through social media, and to stay informed through news outlets and alerts via the web. My children and I frequently use technology to help answer questions or better understand concepts like what foot bones look like or how they get cement out of a mixing truck. 
In my professional life I am too often checking email or dealing with evaluations and surveys. I use a classroom website and that makes life easier.
