Firstly, when I went to the Wharekai group two had to wash our hands so we can wash all the germs off our hands, most important thing was to dry our hands after wards we went to the whiteboard where all the ingredients are and it will say what we are making.

Secondly, we separated on to two different table I was on a table with Lily, Jordanna, Kristina and the others were on the other table than Mrs Wong came to our table to teach us how to make rice for the sushi rolls Mrs Wong had a bowl put rice in it than cook it for 30 minutes than added vinegar and Jordanna mixed it but she didnt like the smell so I got to mix it after I mixed it and after I mixed it, it didn't smell like vinegar

the first thing I did and the group was to wash our hands and Mrs Powell told us what we were going to make the thing we were going to make was Sushi rolls and Miso soup.

the next thing we did is that Mrs Powell introduced Mrs Wong and she was a sushi roll expert an expert is a person that always make sushi rolls a lot.

then senituli was cutting the lemon for the water then... CUT!! senituli cuted his finger but the ingredients were rice, rice vinegar, nori cucumber,red pepper,carrots,teriyaki chicken, Japanese mayonnaise.

Did you know that sushi comes from Japanese and you know nori is a dry seaweed .But Patene sticks with carrots were

What I did at the Wharekai Is we were making delicous sushi. First we peeled some cucumber and patene and tatiana was peeling the carrots. After that we started cutting the the cucumber to shape like a matches,Patene and tatiana was doing the same and when Iooked at patene is carrot matches was outstanding.I strolled to the lime a cut one of it and BANG! the knife cut my thum and it cut threw my nail and then up to the top of my thum.I waited and watied and then I finshed my first sushi inside was rice carrot and tuna or chicken and red pepper.After that I started cutting dry seaweed for the Miso soap

In the Garden we where digging up worms so we can use there pee for the plants, but the it started raining and the we had a change of plans because it started raining.But went to the Te Aroha. We made newspaper pots so when the plant is ready to go in the ground we leave the newspaper pot and put it in because newspaper is recyclable and easy to use.
Here is how you make news paper pots:
Step 1:Get a plastic cup and carefully warp the newspaper around the cup.
Step two:Fold the newspaper up and then cut it in a line.
Step three:Tape the ends together on the newspaper, you only use two pieces of tape.

firstly, we got to look at the tiger worms there were lots of it's of red little ones .Then Mrs new showed us the sprouts siale ate one so we all decide to it one to it tasted funny.

Secondly , we got a shovel each we had to dig up some soil for the tiger worms when it was starting to rain Mr Harries told us to go the wharehui .

When we went in the wharehui Mr New showed us how to make pots just with news paper we made lots then filled them up with soil last but not lest we put the brood beans then we fell them up with a sertent a amount of water .

When it was starting to get sunny we went back to the garden Mr New told us lots of information about the plants like how she said beans trap the nitrogen and traps it and makes it in to soil.

when we were done we washed our hands when we went inside we only had to set at these two tables sens we have a little class room
When we finished the prayer each person took the closest one as fast as they can the sushi was so yummy and the miso soup as well .

What i liked about the garden is how we learnt lots of new things relating to plant .And getting to eat more then two sushi .

It was so fun!!

On the 22nd of June,my class and I went to the wharekai,I was in group two and what we have done today was making sushi,So Mrs powell introduced two new cooking teachers,and there names were Mrs Jackson,and Mrs wong,I really loved how Mrs Jackson showed me how to handle the knife,

When we started making the sushi,I had to chop up some capsicim which is another word for pepper,when I was about to cut the pepper I got really nervous but then when Mrs Jackson taught me how to chop I never got nervous again!!

today i went into the garden and learn about how to grow bored been. we made paper pots. we had to get a cup and roll it in news paper and then we got the bottle of the news paper and bent to the top and then we had to cut the top to be even .

we tape it then we remove the cup out of the news paper and we made it . we made two but the other made five or six or four and three .then we fill it with soil and put the bored been in side and water it .
