In my opinion Bartolomeu was a good man. I think this because he grew up to help the people of Europe, and help make a new route to get items and to make a new family. I think that Bartolomeu had an interesting and educational life.

Bartolomeu was born 1450 in Algarve, Portugal and he died in 1500 at the cape of good hope. He had 2 siblings and 2 children. His siblings were Diogo Dias and Pero Dias. His children were Antonio Dias and Samao Dias. He had only 1 job in his early years and that was a sailor. In his later years he opened a gold trade.

The man who sent Bartolomeu was King Manuel the 1st of Portugal. The King sent him in the court of Joao The 2nd in 1486. He was sent in the ship Sao Cristovao. The purpose of Bartolomeu being sent was to get spices from Asia. In the process of doing so, he opened a sea route from Europe to Asia. We still use that sea route today to get spices from Asia.

All of Bartolomeu’s discoveries are The Cape of Good Hope, Elmina Castle, The Waluis Bay, Ocean Gyre, Mossel Bay, Kwaaihoek, The Passage Around Southern Africa and that's all!

The life of Bartolomeu Dias was an interesting story, and he had an impact on Europe. He made some discoveries and people settled in some of them. He was good man and he made an impact on everyone, including me (Not much as other people though). He opened routes, discovered new settlements, and even had a family. In conclusion Bartolomeu had a good life and we thank him to this day for what he has done for us.

Christopher Columbus Christopher Columbus was a man who discovered america. Christopher columbus also greets the Tainos after in the Caribbean he mistakenly called them Indian. Christopher Columbus was sent by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella . When exploration began in 1492 when he first started sailing Pinta, Nina, and Santa Maria. On each boat there were 90 men on each boat and there were 270 men in all on the trip. Christopher landed in the Caribbean. In my opinion Christopher is a hardworking man because when King Ferdinand sent Columbus to get the spices he went to go get them. Columbus is hard working even though he didn’t get to Asia he was still asking for spices. Christopher Columbus is the man who found new routes from Europe to Asia. Columbus also when he sailed he found a route to Spain to Europe. When he was sailing he ended up in Americas’ continent. When Christopher was going to Spain he created routes to get to Spain. In my opinion Christopher Columbus is an clever because when he thought he was going to Asia he was he was acutely was making a route to America. Columbus also clever because when he was going to Spain he had to have a way to go back to Spain. Christopher Columbus is the pearson is a man that traveled to do request from Kings. Christopher Columbus Asia to get spices for King Ferdinand. When Christopher Columbus

Vasco da Gama was the first to open the first sea route for a trade linking Europe and Asia. He was also he was also a hardworking person. Vasco da Gama was born around 1460 in Sines, Portugal. Vasco da Gama joined the navy where he was taught how to navigate. Vasco was known as a strong and brave pilot. Vasco was born with a noble and wealthy family. One interesting event that happened in his life was that he got the King of Calicut to send a letter to open a trade agreement. I believe that Vasco da Gama is very wealthy because it must cost a lot to get 170 men and four ships. King Manuel of portugal was the one who sent Vasco to the exploration. Da Gama’s exploration began in 1497 in Lisbon. Vasco da Gama was the first person to sail straight from Europe to India , around the cape of good hope. Vasco had four ships. Vasco had 170 men helping him through his journey. Vasco da Gama died in 1524 because of an illness. The trip ended in India. Vasco da Gama was a clever person because he was able to “ lead an expedition from portugal to india to open the first sea route for trade between asia and Europe. Vasco da Gama’s exploration was important because he sailed from lisbon to India so he could open a new sea route from Europe to the East. Vasco opened new trade routes because he was able to make the ruler of calicut sent a letter to set up a trade agreement. Vasco was able to obtain wealth from his journey because “ portugal continued to trade with india and became a very rich country “. Vasco da Gama was first to go around the cape of good hope. Vasco da Gama was a hardworking person because when he was able to reach the age he joined the navy at the age of 19. In a website it states that “ Da Gama learned to navigate in the navy, which he joined as soon as he was old enough.”. Vasco da Gama died in Kochi, Portuguese Indie because of an illness. He died in December 24th 1524. Vasco da gama had a Journal and it has been published in a website. www.wdl.org/en/item/0068/view/1/1.
