         <description><![CDATA[<div>Women filled the roles typically filled by men in the workforce when men were enlisted or were drafted into war.&nbsp; This helped to earn women the right to vote&nbsp; with the 19th amendment. &nbsp;They provided the manpower necessary to keep the factories open and producing war materials.  </div>]]></description>
